North Beach Rehabilitation Center

My husband had a stroke September 16 of this year. I was told by the doctor and ICU that he was not going to survive and if he did, he would probably never walk again. Once they did all that they could do for him at the hospital, he was ready to be transferred to a rehab facility. I felt like the hospital rushed me to choose one for him. They gave me a couple of names of facilities to choose from. I had no time to tour the facilities, so I went online, and I went by the reviews, the one I chose had The best reviews. I had them transferred there which was in Fort Lauderdale. Those reviews I read, all lies. He had to be transferred back to the hospital for a Medical issue and I thank God that happened. I called the insurance company and I got a couple of names of facilities to choose from the one I chose was North Beach Rehabilitation. The first person I spoke to was Yaritza Baez whom I feel was my savior. From the moment I spoke to her, she made me feel so comfortable. She’s very Kind and caring. Of course I asked if I could go on a tour based on my previous experience and of course, she said yes. When I went to the facility She made me feel like we’ve known each other for years. I was so happy when I toured the facility. My husband Didn’t want to go to another facility he wanted to come home. We talked and talked and I said let’s try this for two weeks. He still wasn’t walking too much as the other facility didn’t do physical therapy with him. All that he had accomplished up until he was admitted into North Beach he did it on his own. Once at North Beach I was so surprised with how happy he was there. He has chronic kidney disease also and the dialysis unit at North Beach is top-notch. He was very comfortable in Dialysis. The physical therapy department I cannot say enough About them, they really Helped him progress so much further. From the receptionist at the front desk, the nurses and the CNA‘s I thank you for being so wonderful and kind and caring. And much thanks to Shannon the social worker who helped me so much. If you’re having to choose a facility for your loved one I highly, highly recommend North Beach Rehab.

Thank you for caring for my loved one. My loved one never had UTI recurrence after admission because they made sure to provide a full course of antibiotics. She was satisfied with her care.

Yaritza is awesome! She is honest, empathetic, responsive, and extremely patient in listening to and answering my questions. Furthermore, she is always thorough in explaining processes and procedures that I am unfamiliar with to ensure that I have a clear understanding of "everything" before making critical decisions. Her genuineness is constant and welcoming.

Had a great time with my mom on Labor Day! The activity team does a great job putting parties together for the patients. Kudos to Dareika Chery and her assistant!!! 💐👏💕

The Admission Director was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the Medicaid and Medicare criteria. Upon touring the facility I couldn’t help but notice the cleanliness throughout the building. The gym was very spacious and presentable. After visiting the facility the Director made me feel at ease. My family and I are excited to see our family member receive their therapy to gain their strength again.

My Grandmother came to this place after hip surgery just for rehabilitation treatment from Mount Sinai hospital cause of last min insurance technicalities so this being the last result I was sketchy of the place because of reading the reviews from the start and Boy was these reviews correct about this place,there disorderly unprofessionally young women just trying to make a paycheck seeing this I'm fight amongst my family please remove my grandmother for her safety now I'm on here to share my grandmother has passed away because of there negligence I'm a petition that this place be shut down my grandmother literally had to beg for water before becoming unresponsive!! This place is a Medicare Scam she only stayed there for three weeks and this is her outcome the Worst Rehabilitation/nursing home I've ever encountered.... P.S the pictures I've posted was spotted when I saw on my visit to see her. No one contacted my family or informed us about the womb on my grandmother risk any person with eyes can till this is a fungus again from there negligence

The Admissions Director Yaritza has gone above and beyond to help me find solutions to improve the care and comfort of my sister who is suffering through late stage kidney failure. She really has an in-depth knowledge of the processes, to be able to cut through the red-tape, and she has an enormous heart.

Absolute worse place to leave a loved one. My mother almost died of a hepatic encephalothopy if it weren't because I contacted 911 to get her. This place needs serious intervention from the health authorities, or it should be shut down for medical negligence.
