Orville always meets me exactly where am in my stage of life, and in each meeting. Multiple new life events have happened since seeing him, and he has navigated them with wisdom and patience and professionalism. He listens on days I want to speak, and on days I don’t want to dive deep, he doesn’t force it. He creates an ambiance of comfort. He continues to display these qualities visit after visit.

In the beginning, First Chapter called me to schedule an appointment after my MD recommended their services. However, they were extremely busy and could only offer two openings for the entire months of November and December. Unfortunately, those dates didn't work with my schedule, so they promised to contact me when more availability opened up. In early January, First Chapter reached out to me again. Once again, they only had two appointment slots available for the months of January and February. Despite having a paid project underway, I decided to cancel it in order to accept an appointment in late January. During the call, my wife was present and we confirmed the date and time with the scheduler multiple times to ensure accuracy. On the day of my appointment, I arrived at First Chapter five minutes early, only to find out that they were already seeing someone else. The scheduler, who showed no remorse, claimed that I must have gotten the date wrong. However, when I called my insurance company, they confirmed that the appointment was indeed scheduled for that date and time. It became clear that First Chapter had allowed a walk-in to take my appointment, given the evidence provided by my insurance, and the fat that when I arrived there was only two counselors present and four patients (apparent that one must have been a walk in they were planning to bump if I accepted) This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. It seems that First Chapter is more focused on making money than helping those in need. I would not recommend first chapter. I’ll just continue to bottle “it” up like my dad and grandfather, workout out for them fine.

Orville is amazing! When I called he scheduled me immediately, I thought I was doing a good job holding all my emotions in. He never made me feel uncomfortable or awkward, super easy to talk to. I haven’t been in a while, but I’ve been following the advise given and it’s working fantastically! And I will say, money was never an issue for them… they always tried to work with what I was able to pay. He told me they were in the business of helping people, not hurting them. You won’t be disappointed!

Orville and Shannon are both wonderful therapists. They are very experienced, well-versed, and wise, and have helped both my husband and I so much. I highly recommend both of them if you are seeking individual or couples counseling.

Huge ego, controlling, defensive, interrupted and didn't listen. He didn't know how to bill my insurance either so we had to pay cash the first visit. Once he got it figured out with my insurance, he never reimbursed us for the first visit as promised.

I appreciate you wanting to help but I called in emergency need of someone to talk to and you made sure to ask if I had insurance or not. What happened to people wanting to help regardless if it was an emergency.
