I worked there for 6 months one of the worst jobs i ever had and they treat the residents like trash… like they are all in prison. I wouldnt send any loved on there or recommend working there. Most coworkers are friendly but 99% of them all talk behind eachothers back and the bigger women who runs the memory care is horrible at her job. Reason why she got fired before till a new company came in and brought her back ever since then the place went to hell. Sorry im not sorry this place needs to clean house and start over.

My experience with Dawna, our Resident Ambassador, has been exceptional since I was accepted and arrived at the Newtown Rehab. and H.C.C. over 1 1/2 years ago. Dawna, since the beginning when I started having some problems due to the lack of information and lack of communication from the Administration was always available to resolve my problems to my satisfaction. I admire how she always communicate with the residents in a friendly and respectful manner while at the same time she resolves all the problems with respect and positive advise. Her presence in our Facility brings comfort and assurance to the residents that no matter what difficulties we encounter our Ambassador will always be able to resolve the issue for us regardless weather the situation was created by us or not. I admire Dawna’s professionalism and her way of resolving all resident issues with the Administration of this organization and that she always comes back to bring to the Resident information as how the issue was resolved plus to give advise to the Resident as to how to proceed in the future.

There are often times, we the residents don’t feel like this is our “home”, some mgmt makes us feel like children at times, however, the Ambassador Program is a home run for the residents, especially Dawna who is helpful, caring and understanding of everyones needs and concernsWe really need her. She advises, listens and communicates to us

I have stayed all over the NE for speech and physical therapy! I’ve been to some very good places and unfortunately I consider this establishment far below my expectations. I’ve also listened to some of the patients get very upset at the service their being offered. I even heard several patients get very upset that their property has been stolen! Some staff members are above my expectations while the rest which happens to be the majority fall very short of meeting my expectations! One patient has been a complaint that his phone is missing! Another patient just complained about his wallet being taken. He said now he will have to call all of his CC companies to put hold on the cards! Both people told a person at the desk area and they just responded that they were busy! This place is extremely understaffed. A woman who acted as a supervisor told me they are hiring less than desireable people due to employees making the same money being unemployed due to Covid. While I was just writing this a man asked the woman behind the desk if he could have 2 aspirin because of his pain. Not sure if he ever got his aspirin! The man who lost his phone just asked the woman behind the desk if he left his phone up by the desk. The woman told him rudely she already told him “NO” it's not up here!

The staff are rude, and neglect patients. Many times they have left my grandmother alone in her room for over 4 hours and ignore her when she rings the call bell. They act like it’s a burden to do their job, and get mad at her for asking for things like adjusting her pillow. They also make extremely rude and Insensitive comments. Elder abuse. Absolutely horrible.
