Reading some of the recent reviews, my experience today doesn't seem to be uncommon. I arrived for my scheduled appointment to be informed that it was cancelled. I informed the receptionist, who seemed completely indifferent to my situation, that I didn't get a voicemail nor text. I asked when the call was placed. She told me that was another department. No apology. I asked to reschedule. She told me to take a seat while she checks in other patients. Then she would call me up for scheduling. Given that they already screwed up my day, I wasn't exactly in the mood to sit in a full waiting room just for the opportunity to set up another appointment. I assume the doctors are good, but they could certainly invest in a better customer experience.

I used to love this place. They've fixed my meniscus, fused my spine, and handled my pain. After having to deal with their scheduling system (which admittedly is getting better), I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Radski today at 3:40. I sat in a little room by myself with no updates for an hour waiting before I gave up. Outside in the hall I could hear the girls laughing and chattering, but I was obviously forgotten about because no one even checked on me. When I went out front to reschedule, one of the girls said "she usually doesn't run on time, just keep that in mind." Great, that makes me feel so much better. I don't mean to imply that all doctors in the practice run late. Dr. Safman is always time, in fact I got a little lecture for being 5 minutes late. Unfortunately with my insurance, I'm kinda stuck, but I am going to see if there's other options.

Doctors I’ve seen here: Dr. Dunphy: after years of complaining of hip pain to my primary care doctor, I was referred to Newport Orthopedic and saw Dr. Dunphy first. Within 5 min of listening to me, he knew immediately what was wrong and ordered MRI to confirm. He was correct, but didn’t recommend surgery. Great bedside manner, professional, good listener. I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Choi: Dr. Choi manages my hip problems diagnosed by Dr. Dunphy. He’s also helped me with knee issues. He is personable, great bedside manner, professional and a good listener. He also administers injections very well and makes them as seamless as possible. He also offers helpful advice on specific exercises to add into my weightlifting and fitness regimen. He’s great. Dr. Safman and her PA Naomi Porter: both are great. I’ve see for SI joint problems and pain management. Both are on time, professional, good listeners and good bedside manner. Dr. Safman is intuitive and is also great at injections. Dr. Gordon: Dr. Gordon is great as well. Good bedside manner, funny, professional, explains everything and is a good listener. Also an expert injector. I’m a younger person with a multitude of joint issues. I have found all of these doctors to be excellent. My experience is that the quality of care is very good. These doctors know what they’re doing and I feel confident being in their care. I’ve never felt dismissed, condescended to or disrespected. I trust the quality of care 100%. The only place where I’d subtract stars is that they switched to using a call center for their scheduling. The folks at the call center are generally difficult, unknowledgeable sometimes unprofessional. They often seem like they don’t know what they’re doing or talking about. While not every experience with them is negative, I’ve had countless frustrating experiences with them since this change. I prefer the old system.

This office is NOTORIOUS for overbooking their patient appointments. I just waited 1 HOUR and TWENTY FIVE minutes past my appointment time to be seen by Dr Ting. This is not acceptable and shows complete disrespect for me as his patient. This has happened to me multiple times now when I have an appointment here. I choose to overlook it before because Dr Ting is an excellent knee specialist - but no more. Enough is enough. This office needs to revise its policies and respect their patients time.

I was referred to Newport Orthopaedic Institute for hip replacement surgery March 10, 2023. I've been beyond satisfied with the quality of care provided by this Medical Team. Doctor Siljander, spent as much time as I needed to explain the procedure, what I could expect afterwards as far as physical therapy and future activities as far as walking and running etc. My quality of life has improved 100% just over 1 year from the procedure. No more sleepless nights turning in pain, trying to find a livable position. No more walking with a cane just to ease my pain. I'm now able to play basketball and surf, and looking forward to snow skiing some Utah powder this Winter. Thank you Doctor Siljander and the competent Team at Newport Orthopaedic Institute for my amazing new hip and the quality of life I'm now able to enjoy. I'm so grateful for your care!!! Rick Davis

I came here for my pinky finger. I was sent home with a splint, and I was not instructed on how to care for it. Dr.IB should have sent home institutions on how to properly care for my finger. I have water blisters from all the friction between the rubber splint and my finger. Not happy. They charged me $355 for 10 minutes of their time. No decency to send me home with some instruction

Incredibly poor service from their back office. They do not follow up when they say they will and are rude over the phone. Its like pulling teeth to get any information or help from them in regards to referrals or scheduling. Definitely would not recommend this place.

I have been a registered nurse for 40 years and this office makes me embarrassed of my profession. The doctor was in the room for less than five minutes and actually never touched my body, I received no examination. I left in Pain and was offered nothing more than a steroid injection in my hip, which had already received at urgent care days before.
