New Vista Nursing & Rehab Center

Here 8 days & sharing a restroom with 2 other patients. Toilet clogged for the 2nd time. No one will fix it so we have to go use another patient's restroom. Really? Last time a staff member came with a plunger right away. Now told can't be taken care of until tomorrow. Ridiculous!!! FOLLOW UP To follow up, our bathroom was fully functional minutes after my post/review. Overall, great staff _ treatment/therapy. Food is pretty good too. ☺Thank you My biggest challenge is my roommate - let's call them X. They are so full of hate. We started out well now they are my worst enemy. Calls me names, screams, though we are roommates will not share the TV remote, turns up music, or anything else they can do to make me uncomfortable. What is really sad is staff is well-aware of their behavior. Not new & seems 2 be tolerated. I waited 2 get in New Vista to get better but this is all very traumatic. Oh and also calls me a "baby" just minding my own biz & should of sirn the red flag(s). Always asking questions about my past. Being trusting I didn't think they would use against m a very mean, angry person.

I'll try to be fair in my assessment. This facility is clean and the staff appear to do their jobs well. However, if you are interested in monitoring the care of your loved one, I would not recommend this facility. My brother who is a 100% service connected veteran is staying here. I have repeatedly asked his social worker to get an update on his prognosis and care. However none of the doctors at New Vista have ever contacted me regarding my concerns. I understand that there a many other patient's here and respect the fact that they have needs too. However my brother has been here a year which is ample time for a doctor to contact me. My understanding is that each resident must have an individual plan of care developed by the physician, resident (or his/her representative) and facility staff. New Vista fails horribly in terms of this type of care. So if what you want is to Wearhouse your loved one, then New Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is the place for you.

It tarable ugly glooming. I did not see a fitness place to exercise. Or to make anybody strong. I looks it's draining the people in there. Notaking them strong. The building is hanging on one leg.

After experiencing many facilities when my Daddy was transitioning from the hospital to his home, we have a great understanding of which facilities are truly a dangerous place to be. However, New Vista is the one place we trust and are very happy with. The staff make this place what it is! :) We are very impressed. Now, my disabled brother in law has been a resident for 2.5 years now. He is very honest and tells us if he is happy with the care or not. He says he is very well taken care of every time we ask. My husband and I say this is the best place and everytime we do a surprise visit, he is clean and happy. The place has no smell and is very clean. Thank you for taking such great care of Onni!! We are so blessed and grateful for all you do for him.

Worst experience ever. My dad has been here for a few months now and it’s almost impossible to even talk to him over the phone. I either get hung up on, or I get told an excuse like “he’s having lunch” or “he’s sleeping”. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve spoken to him. Mind you, I live hours away so I can’t just show up to see what’s going on. I’m worried for his well being and the staff doesn’t seem to even know who their own residents are who live there. I would not recommend this place, just sad.

I was a patient at this facility. My experience was horrible. They wouldn't change my dressings on my wound. They didn't give me my proper medication or give it at the appropriate times. They even forgot to feed me. Other patients were screaming daily and the staff would argue with elderly patients. Would not recommend this facility.

This Nursing Facility Is the best, my father had a hip replacement in March 2018 and needed to continue his rehabilitation. My wife and I toured 5 different facilities and were extremely impressed by New Vista we visited this facility and we were very impressed and we decided to have my father continue his rehabilitation at New Vista, now a month passed and my father is doing extremely well ALL the staff is very compassionate and for my family that is extremely important to trust them with the rehabilitation of my father Loren Melendez (social worker) was very helpful from the beginning she called me as soon as my father arrived to New Vista to schedule a meeting with New Vista Team (Gloria RN , Loren social worker, Juliet rehab director, Cindy dietary supervisor Maria activity director). We are extremely grateful that we chose New Vista for my Dad's rehabilitation ♡God bless you all and continue to SHINE☆☆☆☆☆

I was a patient there. Horrible ppl. They don’t do that job. They always assume your lying, I have no reason to lie to them, they r very disrespectful. They all are on some power trip, especially admissions ppl. They need to realize the residents there are their boss. Save your love ones and remove them from that place.
