NeuLife has literally changed my life and my family's life because they have changed my mom's life. A year ago we moved my mom into Neulife and she was not in a good place physically or mentally. The dedicated staff at NeuLife immediately made us feel welcome and jumped into action to make my mom feel part of a family. The amount of attention and love that my mom receives there is tremendous. Teresa, in particular, in ALF has truly been a lifesaver. She is like family to me and I can't be more appreciative. I also can't thank Frank, one of my mom's physical therapists, enough for his continued care and support with increasing her range of motion and strength. His kind demeanor along with the rest of the therapists have improved my mom's quality of life tremendously. I could go on and on about all of the staff at NeuLife, but the bottom line is I would recommend NeuLife to anyone without reservation.

My name is Nick I was a patient at NeuLife from June until October 2021, this place is truly amazing and they will change a person's life for the better. They literally perform miracles every day. I was hit by a car as a pedestrian back in June this year, and by October I was walking within 4 months they had me walking that was unthinkable, especially after what I went through, I thought I'd be in a wheelchair for months and wouldn't be able to walk for a long time. But these people really know their stuff and they're very professional, friendly, courteous and the whole staff is amazing!!! I will definitely try to refer this place....even though I don't want anyone to go there if they have to go somewhere it would definitely be Neulife 100%💯👍🙏

NOTICE PLEASE: I posted this review, which accurately describes my son's bad experiences at Neulife. Since that time I have been contacted personally by the new CEO. She did not deny the problems I described, but we spent time discussing the many changes--improvements--she has made at Neulife. She seemed to me to be honest and quite concerned to make rehab a better experience at Mt. Dora. She even repaid me for my son's belongings that went missing at Neulife. I have not been to the new Neulife, but I believe that services and treatments have improved. The main problems always were because of poor management at the top. I believe the new folks are much better. I encourage you to TALK TO THE NEW CEO PERSONALLY while making your decision. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We brought our newly quadriplegic son to Neulife because the marketing rep and admissions staff said the place specializes in brain injury and/or spinal cord injury rehab. Some of the physical therapists were good at their jobs but therapy was available only 5 days a week. Trained nurses were mostly ok. But exec. management paid little attention even when they were available. Very money oriented. There was no Doctor regularly in the facility and when talking to patients and family he was rude and uncaring. Terrible attitude and bedside manner. Unacceptable that a rehab facility where most patients are bedfast for extended periods there was no "wound" (bed sore) treatment team in house. Our son was regularly sent out to small community hospitals to stay for wound care. Same with any level of infection or respiratory needs. Especially unacceptable were the Case Management staff. Infrequent conversations with the patient, lack of answers for patient and family questions, generally untrained for the job. When "assisting" in the search for the next level care facility (after Neulife) they were totally inept and willing to refer us to facilities that Florida should not allow to operate. After exhaustive effort by family alone we found a better place. The final insult was when the maintenance staff took it upon themselves to toss our son's belongings into boxes for the family to haul away. Several pieces of equipment were missing.

My father recently passed away after a very short stay here. On our first visit to see him, there was dead skin all over the floor, a needle vial, his oxygen tube was out of his nose, long dirty nails….. and more. My Father was unable to speak or move around. There is no therapy on the weekends so that's 8 days a month with no "rehab therapy”. On our second visit his hair still not cut, dirty nails not trimmed and face not shaved after they told us they would take care of his hygiene. My father ended up developing pneumonia while in their care, just to add on to all of the other medical issues he already had. The charts on his room wall were always 2 days behind with no current info or even the correct name of his care takers. If a patient requires more medical needs than rehab needs, this isn't the place for them. I had to call numerous times to get updates and had to wait for call backs. They're unprofessional and lack certain bedside manner. My Father was improving daily before he arrived at this location. Even after my Father passed away, no one except the front desk person said a word to us when we went for his belongings. We were in pain and not one of the Nurses, Doctors or even his supposed “Case Worker” came in to give their condolences (or call). My father didn't deserve to spend his last weeks on this earth in this place.

Choosing NeuLife is the best decision I made for my recovery. More than physical, I was also going through a psychological trauma when I went there. The staff was very caring and empathetic. Their hopes filled in motivation in me to live life all over again. Highly thankful to these guys!

Following my father's accident, he left the hospital and went directly to NeuLife Rehab. He was very obstinate about having to take therapy and needing 24-hour care because he wanted to go home. The staff was very attentive, congenial, caring and made him feel a part of a family. After visiting him the first couple of days, we were no longer worried about his safety since there was someone with him most of the time. He actually liked the food and looked forward to eating in the dining room. On the days that he felt like going outside, they would take him out to the garden and down to see the horses. When it was time for him to leave, he didn't want to go home. Our family was very pleased with the quality of care he received along with his recovery.

One of the best post-acute inpatient rehab facilities so far! The team is a mix of highly skilled and experienced professionals who know their job to the T. What’s best is their customized and targeted approach to every patient as per their condition. Highly recommend!
