Let me preface this by saying that the therapists are wonderful. I've been going to My Left Foot for years now between two of my children, and almost all of our interactions with the therapists have been great. It's the company itself that is purely awful. To start, they rotate through speech and occupational therapists faster than grocery stores rotate through courtesy clerks. They are constantly changing staff so by the time you get a recurring appointment with one, you only have it for a short period of time before they leave the company and you have to wait all over again to get another recurring. They call you regularly for fill-in appointments, sometimes at the last minute, which we would take as often as we could. Recently, we made it to 3 reserved appointments a week. This was the first time ever (over 3 years) that we received the full amount of reserved appointments recommended for my autistic son, and we were so excited! And he was doing so well! Sure, they call to cancel at least one a week because the therapist won't be there, but that's totally understandable, life happens to everyone, and when they can, they do try to offer makeup appointments. Here's the punch in the gut. I admit the mistake was mine to start. They had to cancel one of our appointments and called to let me know and offer me an alternate. It was thanksgiving week and I was with my family on a trip and I was distracted. They offered me an appointment with a different therapist an hour and half before our normal time. For some reason, I entered it into my calendar as the following week. I missed the makeup appointment. They called me 10 minutes into the 30 minute slot to ask if I was coming and when I realized what had happened, it was too late. It would have taken me 15 minutes to get there and the appointment would have been over. I apologized for my mix up, let them know I wouldn't be able to make it. This is the ONE time this has happened for us. I might have one late cancellation (within 6 hours of appointment time) somewhere in the last year, but I have never completely missed an appointment without notice. THEY CANCELLED ALL OF MY SON'S RESERVED APPOINTMENTS. They called me two days later to let me know that I was going to lose all the reserves that took us years to finally get, that my son would not be eligible for even fill-in appointments for two weeks, and would not be eligible for a potential reserve appointments for 60 days. We have been with this company for so long and because I missed ONE appointment, they dumped my son like trash. He needs those appointments, they make such a huge difference. I know it was my mistake to miss one, but I'm human too and It was an accident, an isolated incident. I understand that they need to make sure appointments aren't missed because another kid could be getting that therapy, so I get being strict and I respect that there should be a penalty of some sort. But to cancel all three of my child's reserved appointments because I missed one makeup (not any of the reserved ones) appointment is completely too much. My child didn't deserve that. But that shows the value that My Left Foot actually places on the families that put their trust in them.

My child has been going to these offices since 2020 and I’m sure she has missed appointments over the years but now she missed ONE appointment because she was sick and they asked no questions they just cancelled all her reserved appointments and then called me at almost 8pm to tell me this so I don’t even have anyone to talk to at this hour ! Oh and by the way the lady who cancelled the missed appointment in the first place encouraged us not to come in that day!! Not even informing me that if we didn’t come in, that all the appointments would be cancelled.. but the therapists cancel all the time with little to no warning with no consequences!

The therapists here are amazing - my son loves them all. I wish I could give 10 stars for the therapists only. But My Left Foot Therapy has horrible management. In 2023, they continued to charge me a co-pay even though I had met my deductible. They also reported to my insurance company that I had not made those payments. Luckily, I had the receipts. They owe me over $700 and told me I had to wait 5 to 7 weeks for re-imbursement. Today it has been 7 weeks and I called twice to get a status on the reimbursement. Both times I was told the person I needed to talk to was not available to talk. The only reason I did not withdraw my son from Left foot originally is because he is doing so great with his therapist. But after the rudeness on the calls today, management's lack of self accountability, lack of corrective action, no follow ups to keep us updated of our re-imbursement, and lack of apology of the emotional damages and financial stress this has put on our family, we have no choice but to find another facility for our son. Please save yourself the stress and hardship and enroll your children in a more honest facility with highly trained professionals and competent management.

Been taking my daughter here since 2019. What in the world is going on with the scheduling staff these days??? No one seems to know anything. Didn’t even call me when a therapist cancels, I drive 25 minutes just for someone to tell me my daughter doesn’t have an appointment. One even told me that my preferred therapist doesn’t work there anymore, that we been seeing for YEARS, turns out she was still there, and we were BOTH confused. I can go on and on! To be honest with you, we’re still here, only because of 2 therapists, but I’m starting to look for another place, just in case.. It’s a total mess. Being a parent and having to bring your child here weekly is hard enough; the staff needs to do better.

This is ridiculous!!!!! On the waiting list since January, Left Foot took so long the referral expired. Got a new one faxed over and now he is placed back on the waiting list. The lack of understanding and compassion for the situation is disgusting. The rep was nasty and this has been a horrible experience. I would have never agreed if the business practices were this inefficient. It’s sad how many kids need help and they are failing to do so. These automatic responses says everything. Your staff needs training and operations should be addressed. This place should be shut down and ripped of their government funding considering it is not going into the areas needed to provide better service. These are CHILDREN. Do better

My daughter went for feeding therapy from October 2021 until today, when I had just had enough. Her regular therapist, Jenn, was great, but EVERYTHING ELSE about the experience was terrible. Like, really terrible. Scheduling is a nightmare. They do not do regular appointments. Everything is last minute and then they get very annoyed if you can not accommodate them same day. I have asked to make a follow up appointment while we are at the office only to be told I need to call in. The scheduler was literally sitting 2 feet away from the receptionist that told me this. I would have put up with the incompetent scheduling if I felt like these appointments were really benefiting my daughter. However, since the scheduling was all over the place, it was difficult for her to see any one therapist consistently. Every time she saw someone new, it was like restarting therapy. Clearly no one read her file (if there was one). It is very hard to make progress with such a piecemeal approach to treatment. The final straw came today. Turns out that they screwed up the billing and rather than the $10 copays that they have been collecting, it should have been $100. No apology, no real explanation. We are now being charged back fees for every appointment since January. Between the bungled billing, inept scheduling and inconsistent treatment, I do not know how they stay in business.

We've been coming to this location since they opened. It's always been a positive experience! The staff are friendly, and you're always greeted upon arrival. They learn pretty quick who the regulars are, so you're not always asked who's being checked in. the therapists are great and continue to do what they do best! I appreciate how your scheduled time is your time. You don't wait 15-30 minutes after to be seen. They can be pretty busy, so don't always expect an empty lobby. The children enjoy their sessions very much. Thank you MLF children's therapy 😀

Never again will I come to this location. It was my daughter’s first appointment for feeding therapy, normally places give you a 10 minute grace period to arrive. They called me last minute the night before to tell me to bring food to the appointment of things that my child likes and dislikes at the time I did tell the lady I had an appointment for me prior to her appointment around the corner and I was not sure I could bring anything as it is hot out and the food will go bad in my car. I left my appointment in time so I rushed To the grocery store to grab a few items I pulled in the parking lot at 10:32 as my appointment was at 10:30. I’ve never been here so I was unsure on the building I accidentally walked into the wrong building then the lady told me it was a few buildings over. I walk in for her appointment at 10:38 and the lady said so since your late we have to cancel you. They didn’t even give me my 10 minute grace period as they should have you think they would want to help you as you wanna help your own child but obviously they don’t care they were rude and inconsiderate of people driving all the way down there with gas prices so high. I would not have been late if I didn’t have to stop to get food for her appointment I was still within my 10 minutes and they did not see me I will not come here again this is so insane to me bad customer service and that just shows you how much they really care about your child.
