My Kids Place

My kids place is an amazing place offering various services like Occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. We have been fortunate enough to find this place and have been going here for the past couple of years. Chris, the owner of the facility is one of the best occupational therapists we have worked with. He is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and his sessions not only help the kids but the parents too as every session is every insightful and helps us learn something new that could help our child. All the staff at my kids place are skilled and truly a delight to work with. If you are looking for occupational or speech therapy in San Diego, I highly recommend My Kids Place, as you will find it very helpful.

We love the physical therapists at My Kids Place! We ended up there following our daughter’s rare orthopaedic surgery that had a long healing process. The therapists we saw are highly experienced and very knowledgeable, and have treated her with fantastic care. They make therapy fun and are great about tailoring the “games” to her interests. It’s worth noting that she’s needed physical therapy in the past and I sometimes felt like other therapists didn’t make her work if she pushed back. These guys strike a great balance of making her do what she needs to do to support recovery while still making it enjoyable for her. The office staff and communication systems are also great and make everything easy to manage. Thanks guys - we feel lucky to have found you!

My son & I always have a great time. Mr. Chris is very patient & playful with my son. He also is very knowledgeable on giving me tips whenever when my son is home. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Keep up the great job!

We have had such a wonderful experience at My Kids Place. I had no idea how helpful Occupational Therapy could be. Mr. Chris has been incredibly helpful with my 5 year old son. He’s worked with my son on body control, regulating emotions, letter writing, tying shoes, telling time and more. My son is so receptive to his guidance and Chris does a great job giving me the info I need to reinforce and continue the skills at home. He’s a wealth of knowledge and I really wish all children could have the benefit of working with an experienced OT like him. When we came across My Kids Place, we were actually in search of a child therapist to help with some impulse control issues and emotional outbursts. I’m so glad we were guided to try Occupational Therapy. We made progress so much faster then I ever expected and we’ve been able to work on life skills that my son was really struggling with. I highly recommend Chris Callahan and, although I haven’t personally worked with the rest of the staff, they are all very kind and inviting.

Finding Chris Callahan (Mr. Chris as my kids call him) was life changing for my family. We were originally connected to him to work with my 1 year old (now 3). She is my fourth child, but she was very different from my others. I was exhausted and didn't know what to do for her. He helped me to understand more of what was going on and gave us both tools to help her be happy and safe. While we were working with her, he observed and I mentioned some things going on with one of my older children. I began having him work with Mr. Chris and added in Miss Amanda as well. My son has made so many wonderful strides forward. He's so much more confident, has been able to start vocalizing his emotions, and has begun to self regulate. He's always excited to go and comes home ready to show everyone what he learned. Our continued experience with Chris and his staff has been empowering for my children and me. I can't recommend them enough.

Empathetic, Flexible, and Professional. I have been using My Kids Place for around 2 years now. Specifically for my son who needs OT. Chris Callahan and his staff have worked so hard with both of us and have been instrumental with helping my boy through so many large milestones from using scissors to potty training. They didn't ever try to blindly assign goals that were unreasonable and really worked with our family on big and small steps. When Covid hit they were so quick to become flexible and start offering secure online sessions and try and find new ways to work on our issues inside the home while quarantining. Not only are they effective but the staff are just plain nice. I would recommend them highly!

Chris and his practice is wonderful. We've had an issue with our son and his writing skills. He has helped our son improve his writing skills and methods, learned how to calm himself down when excited, and to focus more on school work. I would recommend all my friends and family to his practice. I would attend again.
