I had such a wonderful experience at Muscle & Joint Physical Therapy! I am a younger adult and the staff was so kind and understanding, and went through a thorough explanation of costs for me. The space was beautiful and clean. Dr. Sarah Llorens was so kind and extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and reassuring of my concerns. I highly recommend her and Muscle & Joint PT! Thank you!

I had an amazing experience at this physical therapy practice! I walked in just three weeks before my first marathon, struggling with back and glute pain that had me worried I wouldn't be able to run at all. Thanks to the dedicated team and, in particular, Dr. Sarah, I was able to turn things around. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and created a personalized plan that addressed my pain and helped strengthen my muscles. With her guidance and support, I not only managed to alleviate my pain but also built the confidence to complete the marathon! The expertise and encouragement made all the difference. I am so grateful for the help in achieving this milestone! If you’re in need of physical therapy, I highly recommend this place.

I had a full hip replacement in January. I recently switched to Matt as my PT and in a few visits I’ve seen incredible results. The dry needling and cupping in addition to the PT exercises are really helping my range of motion and the scar needling is helping diminish the appearance of my scar. I also love that this practice is independently owned and operated which seems to be more and more rare in Chicago these days.

MJPT was a fantastic experience I will definitely be recommending to anyone looking for PT. Sarah L was a great therapist, I really appreciated how much she was willing to move at my comfort level, encourage me to try newer or harder exercises, adjust exercises I struggled with, and celebrate every victory. PT can be a humbling experience, but Sarah always made sure I knew I was doing good work and improving! The rest of the staff was just as friendly and encouraging, very helpful and fun to talk with.

If I could give Alex (and the rest of the team) more than 5 stars, I would! At the end of last year, I severely broke my ankle in a freak accident. One surgery and a few pieces of hardware later, I began seeing Alex thanks to a referral from my friend/former patient and could not be more grateful! With two toddlers at home, being able to walk on my own again was priority #1. That said, attending PT sessions 3 times per week with two toddlers and a full-time job seemed challenging. Thankfully, Alex worked with my schedule to ensure that I could begin PT as soon as I was cleared by my surgeon to maximize recovery. During my initial evaluation, Alex took the time to go over both long-term and short-term timelines to give me realistic expectations of how long it would take me to get back to "normal." She was extremely personable and patient throughout that first appointment (and all others) -- and as an avid runner/mom/someone who never sits still, her reassurance put me at ease. While not directly related to recovery, Alex is also generally enjoyable to be around, which is pretty important when you're spending a few hours with someone each week. Over the next several months, I consistently saw Alex for treatment -- ranging from scar mobility, dry needling and cupping to all of the exercises imaginable. Alex always explained what treatment she wanted to do and why but still made sure I was comfortable before going forward with treatment. Even when I would get frustrated by what I considered to be a lack of progress, Alex remained positive and pushed me to make the most of each session. Despite a few minor setbacks, I started running again at the end of April (just shy of 4 months post-op) and officially graduated from PT this week. Having my last session with Alex was bittersweet. While I'm beyond grateful to be back to my old self (with some extra hardware), Alex was truly the best to work with and I'll miss seeing her every week. To make a long review short, I am SO thankful for Alex and cannot recommend her enough. If you are in need of PT in Chicago, Muscle & Joint PT is the place to go!

I tore my meniscus and this team helped me get back to running in no time! The lead PT, Sarah, was awesome and super helpful with identifying exercises to get my strength back. The other PT’s, Martin and Melissa, were a major help as well. Everyone was kind and encouraging.

I’ve had a great experience so far! I’ve mostly been working with Brandon but the whole staff is super friendly and helpful. I had an old knee injury that has been lingering so it was difficult to describe my symptoms sometimes, but Brandon has been super patient and always takes me seriously. I’ve been slowly making progress as we dial in on the causes and treatments of my pain

I worked with Sarah for a few months at MJPT and she did a great job getting me back on my feet after an ankle injury. The rest of the staff were great as well.
