My ruptured disc turned out to be a blessing in disguise based on the PT I was referred to at Movement for Life. My back healed up on its own but my PT has brought strength to my core. I’m doing daily specific exercises that I never did before that will protect my back, build muscle and improve my balance- all the things that help one live longer. I’m 66 and in 20 years I hope to be doing the same exercises and be in good shape. Like I said, my ruptured disc was a blessing in disguise. Everyone at Movement for Life treated me like family. Highly recommend them for their knowledge and caring attitude.

I had treatments here twice in the past 2 years. The therapist Daniel and Matt are excellent. They are knowledgeable and helpful. I achieved good results. Was able to run marathon stronger than before. The staff are also very friendly and willing to help.

Colleen is a gift from God for me❣️She's professional, overflows with knowledge and explains why I am doing particular exercises and is hands on to help me adjust and do them correctly so I get the most benefit from doing them❣️She gets right to the core of my problems. I was very discouraged with the tears and weaknesses I was experiencing, but then came Colleen and I now have hope and I completely trust her judgement as we navigate together towards a good recovery❣️All the staff are professional, yet down to earth and fun as they guide us with such genuine care for our wellbeing❣️

Kieran has been an excellent therapist listening to my comments and making recommendations for exercises that better align with my needs. The facility is clean and very well equipped. Highly recommender!

I am quite pleased with Matt Freeman of Movement for Life Physical Therapy. He has been assisting me in regaining range of motion following full shoulder replacement. He has a good sense of humor, which is helpful when working through potentially painful motions following surgery. I wanted to add that I have gained significant range of motion since the onset of my physical therapy at Movement for Life PT. The surgeon who “installed” my new shoulder wants me to be able to raise my arm straight up in time for my next appointment. Surgery was dated June 6th. It is crucial following complete shoulder replacement to prevent adhesions. In fact, my surgeon stated that patients who don’t take PT seriously have at times required further surgery! Hey, regaining full range of motion in an entirely new body part can be uncomfortable, but Matt has been gentle while manipulating, at the same time applying pressure necessary to progress. Physical therapy is a finely balanced technique. (No pain, no gain, but throw in sensitivity to client’s pain threshold). Finally, Matt’s a nice guy!

Matthew Freeman is my excellent new therapist who I have also known for years at SLO Sports therapy, when other therapists had treated me for several years for different body injuries. I am happy to see Colleen Russell, director, who is a central happy face to see sometimes when I come to therapy. It is very refreshing therapy for body and soul. Plus I have a collection of Movement for Life shirts in various colors, the latest in pink.
