Horrible experience. Report that they take an integrative approach to medicine but really just a normal western medicine doctor’s office with incense and meditation bells. If you have been diagnosed with endometriosis avoid this place like the flu- go online, read Katie Edmonds book and good luck. Avoid these snake oil salesmen- they are not going to tell you anything different than a regular doctor.

Refused to schedule a medical massage for me after a car accident because I didn’t give them the name of my lawyer after I told them repeatedly that I don’t have a lawyer and do not intend to get one for this accident ever. If I did need a lawyer, I am a lawyer and would represent myself. Still refused to schedule me.

Mountain Spirit used to have an excellent and truly integrative primary care provider and clinical director, Heidi Rogers. Most of the positive reviews you read are from Heidi’s time. When she left, things went downhill. Subsequent PCP’s have been mediocre at best and are not functional or integrative practitioners at all. They all seem to leave the practice after a year or two, so it’s impossible to have continuity of cate. Now Mountain Spirit is basically a day spa with various holistic treatments offered on top of cosmetic ones. Some of the treatments are OK, but the ones that require real skill and experience, like acupuncture, are not good.

I have been coming here for over 3 years. I have always been taken care of from my physical, emotional and the customer service has ALWAYS been amazing!! With all the services they have available you will find something to take care of your body in a natural way. Everyone is so friendly that if you are going there enough (like me) they become family!

Their practitioners are OK, but good luck setting up a consistent treatment with any of them. They also mislead you about billing, they tell you that they will work with your insurance but suddenly out of the blue two years later I’m receiving extravagant bills with no warning and threatening language as if I was just not paying. I would’ve preferred to have just paid full price at the time and not been slapped with a bill out of the blue literally years after the service. With so many health and wellness places in Santa Fe I highly suggest looking elsewhere for care. Cuz these guys don’t care about their patients whatsoever. I'd also like to add that they often left me bruised and with needles left in my body parts for me to find as I was driving home. Highly unprofessional

Oh the pain. I’ve literally never taken the time to leave a negative review so ~~~ here I go. First though- the practitioners here are awesome. I’ve seen several of them and they’re great. So- check it out, grab their cards, then Google them and find them in private practice. The downside: billing. So at first you’re like “yippee they take my insurance! It’s a miracle!” But it’s not. I’m getting bills now for double what I was quoted from treatments that happened over a year ago. I checked in with them and my insurance when I started there and was quoted a similar fee. The billing department is basically like “that’s just an estimate and we never know…” but the time frame on this is unethical. I’ve never had such delayed bills, even from the hospital, and it essentially means I was going for a year under a specific assumption, and now they’re billing my insurance differently and ugh- it’s just a cluster. I must have missed the slew of one star reviews stating the same, or I wouldn’t have started going. There are other random quirks I could rant about that just ice the cake- but who needs a rant. The point is if you’re trying to find a sustainable practice to support your health while also having financial transparency and integrity- this place might not be it. So so sorry to leave this bc the practitioners are great. Also, if you’re looking for primary care, I would check out St Francis Heath Center. Naturopathic doc who takes insurance ~~~ they’ve been way more helpful for me.

I want to love this place but it's been a challenge over the years. I love their staff and their whole philosophy of integrative medicine. A friend of mine worked there for a long time and I know their founder/owner is a really good guy. I have been a customer here for 4-5 years and make use of their RNs as well as the massage and acupuncture on offer. I think they may have gotten too popular too fast or lost some staff because I saw a very clear decline in the quality of service and practitioners from the time I started going both with the more traditional western medicine practice and the massage therapy. Last time I tried to go there, I was extremely sick and desperate for some help, and they told me the next time I could see a RN would be in 7 days. That is not acceptable if they want to perform the role of my Primary Care Provider. I need help when I'm sick, not 7 days later. I just started going to urgent care every time I need to see a doctor because Mountain Spirit is too slow and unreliable. Also I've had some terrible (and some great) massages there, probably 30 in total. I would have given up a long time ago but they take my insurance which is huge. I don't know how they vet their massage therapists but it seems to have gotten pretty loose in terms of who they let into their operation. Sometimes they are brilliant, sometimes they are really very bad. One massage therapist just did reiki on me the whole session. I felt too awkward to tell her that I just wanted a massage, as I had scheduled. She clearly was feeling it and I felt bad busting her bubble. One male massage therapist there talked to me throughout the entire hour, because he wanted a job at the place I work at. It was extremely awkward and unprofessional. Side note: Leah the Acupuncturist is amazing and I am so grateful for her help! Also the RNs are great, if you can get on their busy schedules.

Beautiful place. Beautiful people. Wonderful for anyone who appreciates having their medical wishes respected and those who are interested in seeking both traditional and alternative medicine. They offer primary care, acupuncture, massage, herbal support and much more (check their website) . They are very friendly and welcoming to all people and all ages, including children. This place is truly integrative; because they use a single chart system all the practitioners are able to communicate and collaborate their personalized treatment plans with one another. A unique and brilliant system and one that will undoubtedly be more common in the future. Some insurance companies will cover two hours of treatment for a single copay so you can get back-to-back treatments if you qualify. Do yourself and your body a favor and make an appointment!
