The staff at the Mt.Graham Emergency room like to take their sweet little time when seeing patients. My roommate had to go for having high potassium. We were seen right away. Then after he was hooked up to IV they were not seen from until it was time to be discharged. We could hear them at the nurses station just laughing and having a good time, instead of checking on their patience and trying to get them out of the ER quicker. If I was the President of this hospital. Everyone of the staff would be put on probation or FIRED!

They got me right in, the guy at the desk taking my vitals helped me calm down and was understanding that I was very scared. He immediately took me to my room. A few minutes later the doc and nurse walked in and they helped me. They gave me ointment to take home to reapply until my other ointment was sent in to my pharmacy. I got out around a half hour maybe less idk it all felt so fast.

Myself and my family have had nothing but issues with this hospital. Nothing against the staff, the actual hospital. To start: 1. I called to try and pay my bill one day. Throughout the day I called nine (9) separate times at different points throughout the day, and not one time that I called did someone answer the phone. It either went straight to voicemail, or at some random point while it was ringing it went to voicemail. 2. Again their billing department. They have completely butchered applying our insurance correctly. We have one insurance that covers our family. They have somehow managed to put my wife on a separate insurance, which we do not have, and now they are billing us for things that would be covered under our insurance. We're following up with the hospital to ensure this gets resolved. These aren't terrible issues. None of them are regarding care, but rather how the hospital as a whole is run. We've been in other networks and it doesn't work this way. You're told the price before the service. The only reason this continues to happen at Mt. Graham is because they have a monopoly on the Gila Valley. They're allowed to continue to run like a circus, because no one wants to drive to Tucson. This place sucks.

Went in to be induced. I was first introduced to the morning staff and they were phenomenal. Night shift came on and there was one nurse in particular that stood out. She was such a great support system and came to see the baby the next night. The one in morning made sure I was comfortable throughout her whole shift, she was a godsend with the first shower after birth. I would recommend anyone having a baby to have it at MGRMC. Dr.Romero was amazing start to finish. She wasn’t there just to deliver a baby. She gave me more options then one and she let the med students get hands on. I wouldn’t want anyone else to deliver my baby.

My experience with the Surgery Department was fantastic! I was very nervous for my surgery, but the nurses and doctors were all amazing! If I could give more stars I would! My experience with the emergency department has been fantastic the time I or my son has had to go as well!

Dear Community members of Safford, Thatcher, Willcox, and Pearce, I made some friends in the last six days. Very nice, decent people who were complete strangers. Sam, Jacci, Kevin, Aimee, and Stephen of ICU. I watched how hard they worked. Some were on the day shift and others on nights, but all were 12 hours of non stop constant work that consisted of being on their feet, being alert, answering every call with courtesy, respect, and a sense of caring that wasn’t faked. Kindness that was genuine. Whether an extra pillow was needed, or a walk down the hall to keep my blood circulating at 2am. To changing my bed, making sure I was warm enough, and then plugging me back into all the bells and whistles of technology that kept a steady flow of data for the physicians. And even though these actions were their duties for job service, there was more. They cared enough to ask about my family, my husband who is 79 and has pulmonary fibrosis. They were worried that he drove 70 miles each way to visit me every other day. He was pale white upon visiting me, Sam offered him liquids to make sure he was hydrated. But, as for the rest of my family, no one called or visited. I applaud these angels who chose the profession of nursing, you do meaningful work and should be proud as well as thanked often. Many thanks to the ICU nurses, physical therapist, respiratory therapist and physicians at Mt. Graham Regional Surgical Center. Best of care. Best qualified. Much appreciated.

Emergency room visits are always terrible, no sense of urgency, lack of compassion. Their labor and delivery ward however is wonderful and the people there are wonderful. The night nurses were very compassionate towards me and my husband didnt see much of day nurses except for hourly checks for me and my son. I knew my doctor before delivering so I already knew I liked her. Dr Lee you are a fantastic Dr. She helped make me feel SO at ease that my delivery, in less than 24 hours of checking into hospital, my son was in my arms. The emergency room may not be great but other parts of hospital stand out with gold stars staffing them.

Medical staff are always kind and compassionate. Being a senior citzen, every time we go to the hospital, it's stressful.
