Jemila is an absolute God-send! She has truly been amazing during my postpartum period, dealing with a prolapse and an unexpected surgery. Her PP Movement Academy and our sessions together have been so helpful. I’ve seen improvement in my prolapse (it’s gone!) and my core strength after that surgery. I thought I would be stuck with symptoms forever, but she has coached me through all of it and I’m so excited about the progress I’ve already seen. I highly recommend contacting her to any pregnant/PP mama!

Jemila is amazing! I was already so excited for my first session, and she was so warm and welcoming. I immediately felt educated by her wealth of knowledge. It was the first time someone was able to properly teach me how to breath, which sounds crazy. I am very grateful and relieved to be working with Jemila. There’s so much I didn’t know about pelvic floor health, including that there are steps you can take DURING pregnancy to avoid issues after. I sorely wish I had found her with my first kiddo. And I fully believe mamas should see her as a standard of care, not an optional measure. She’s wonderful. Her cues click for me. Her online courses are great but the in person pre-natal visit was even more beneficial because she could help me with specific techniques and habits to help me take the best care of my body and baby! This was the best investment I made in my postpartum care. I have always been a very active person and continued to work out throughout my pregnancy. Once I reached the 8 weeks postpartum milestone, I expected to be able to jump back into my usual routines. However, I quickly realized that my body was still healing, and that I needed some guidance to ease back into training safely. I’m so glad I found Jemila and Mommas in Motion. Jemila responded to my query right away and recommended a combination of the online program plus in person sessions. She approached everything with professionalism and genuine care for me and my healing. Pelvic floor dysfunction isn’t always an easy topic, but Jemila has a way of making people feel comfortable and supported. Not only that, but she is clearly an expert at what she does. She was able to make suggestions and adjustments based on my unique situation, and she made herself available for questions between sessions. All I can say is, if you’ve been struggling in silence with discomfort or anxiety about whether your body will ever be “back to normal” and able to do what you used to do, please prioritize yourself and reach out to Jemila. 9 months postpartum, I feel strong, confident, and excited to do the things I love. I will absolutely be working with Jemila again for future pregnancies and cannot recommend her highly enough!

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience working with Jemila and Mommas In Motion. I began virtual sessions while 6 months pregnant, frustrated by my leaking when I would cough or sneeze. This had been happening since I had by son 5 years prior, and now being pregnant again, it was so much worse. During this pregnancy I was also working out and would leak while running. After one session, I learned so much about by body and how to effectively work the right muscles to support my pelvic floor- it was game changing. We continued to work together virtually through my pregnancy and a few sessions postpartum. Im so grateful to Jemila for her help in my recovery, as I had a prolapsed bladder. I had never experienced this before and there was so much I didn’t know. Not seeing my doctor until 6 weeks PP, I had so many questions and she was able identify the prolapse based on my description and help me towards recovery before I even saw my doctor. Within 2 months my prolapse was fully recovered! This team has such a wealth of knowledge, I learned more about my body and the changes it was going through. Ever since beginning these sessions, I can’t help but praise pelvic floor therapy to any person I speak with who has the same issues I did, or are just pregnant/postpartum. Having the ability to do virtual sessions without compromising the quality and value of the material made it all that much more worth it. If you’re on the fence, unsure or have never worked with a pelvic floor therapist, take the action and DO IT! Jemila and her team are the best, you won’t regret it.
