Great experience working with them here! My left wrist was bothering me for a while, and I decided to get it checked out. Dr. Shakya was really impressive. Within minutes of working on my wrist, I immediately felt better. He then suggested a few exercises that I can do and helped me video recorded the instruction of how to do those exercise. So when I got home, it was very easy to follow the instruction. Within 2 visits my problem is now healed. Thank you all!

My very first visit was indicative of the excellent care that would get me back in the swing of things. I absolutely LOVE everyone there. It's challenging, and they are supportive and knowledgeable. I recommend MMA and Sports Rehab. They are the BEST!

I reached out to MMA in Week 11 of training for the Chicago Marathon. I had a pain high in my right hip and after ruling out a specific medical issue, went to PT to determine if I could keep my marathon hopes alive! The pain ranged from pretty severe before I made it to PT to an annoyance- but it wasn't right. Dr. Bri was great to work with- she was able to determine that it was safe to still train through my injury and worked on building up my strength safely. I had some ups and downs throughout the next few weeks and Dr. Bri worked with the information to adjust things accordingly. Most weeks, things were fine while running but bothered me afterward. I had my last session with her the Wed before the Sunday race and my last run right after- it wasn't until a few days later that I realized I hadn't felt anything in my hip. While we both expected that the pain would set in post-marathon- it never did! I had so much funning running Chicago and managed a 9 minute PR and qualified for Boston (hopefully!). I am very appreciate of the help and support from MMA and Dr. Bri and hope to keep up with my strength training so I don't have to see them again except to say hello!

I recently had the privilege of receiving treatment at MMA and Sports Rehab for a shoulder injury, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that immediately put me at ease. Dr. Shakya and his staff are exceptional. They took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and create a personalized treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing the best care possible were evident at every step of my recovery journey. They not only possess the technical skills required for effective rehabilitation but also have the ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel like an active participant in my own recovery process. They also understand that rehabilitation can be a challenging and sometimes frustrating process, and they provided support and encouragement every step of the way. I can't thank Dr. Shakya and his team enough for their outstanding care and support. Thanks to their expertise, friendliness, and patience, I am well on my way to a full recovery and am back to doing the activities I love. I highly recommend MMA and Sports Rehab to anyone in need of sports rehabilitation/physical therapy services. You won't find a more dedicated and compassionate team anywhere else!

Eight years ago, I had breast implant surgery, and all my problems began. I started feeling much pain in my right upper body and had lost basic movements, which none of the more than 40 professionals I saw could understand why. Even though I still don’t have a final diagnosis, I’ve felt much better after starting my PT sessions with Dr. Ujjwal and his team. I can finally move my body again, despite limitations, and have been working to regain my entire quality of life. I’m so happy to feel much less pain after so many years! Definitely recommend them!

I came to MMA Sports and Rehab after battling tennis elbow for five months. I am much better off after working with Dr. Ujjwal Shakya. Not only has my injury healed significantly, but I am also more confident in how to approach training and recovery moving forward. He customized a program for me, guided me each step of the way, and took the time to explain how the techniques work. Overall the team at MMA Sports and Rehab is friendly, caring, and gives you the information you need to confidently progress in your healing journey throughout PT and beyond.

I had a great experience at MSR! They were able to identify the issue in my shoulder quickly and provide me with easy exercises to alleviate my pain. Within a few days my shoulder pain was gone and I feel stronger and more mobile than before.

Great expertise and recovery programs, I do MMA and work a labor intensive job and had upper back pain that was forming and getting worse year after year. I have greatly improved since I started going to MMA & rehab and have increased neck mobility and the pain in my back is beginning to dwindle.
