During my recent visit to the Missoula Bone and Joint Physical Therapy Department, I was disheartened by the behavior of the physical therapist I was working with. She mocked the way I was walking by imitating my limp, which was quite upsetting. Although she apologized, the experience left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. As someone who already feels insecure about my limp, I believe patients seeking care and support should be treated with understanding, respect, and empathy. This incident fell short of those expectations.

I received physical therapy for an injured knee from Bob Botkin. Before therapy I had difficulty getting in or out of my car, going up or down stairs, grocery shop, or walk without a limp. I could only bend my knee a few inches and it hurt. After therapy, I can bend it, walk, use stairs, hike again and swim. It moves easy and is totally pain free! Thank You Bob!!!

Bob is very professional and proficient with his profession. Very personable and pleasant to work with during my PT. He made it so very easy and manageable to gain my strength and range of motion. Highly recommend Bob and his other associates to recover after surgery so that if there is complications during recovery they can communicate with the surgeon to resolve any issues immediately.

I underwent physical therapy for my hip replacement with Michael Kerns; and he did an excellent job. Michael understands what your hip should be able to do at every stage of recovery and knows how to get you back in shape. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Jesse Long made post-ACL surgery physical therapy a genuinely enjoyable experience. He consistently explained each step of the recovery process and listened to my questions and concerns. He helped to build my confidence in returning to everyday tasks, as well as more intense activities as my knee progressed. He approached every appointment with authentic care and a true sense of humor. I cannot recommend his care highly enough.

Worked with Bob Botkin for both knee replacements. I really credit him with helping me get my life back. The exercises and care that he provided helped me immensely and I will be forever grateful for his expertise, his encouragement, and his kind professionalism.

Bob was my physical therapist after my knee replacement surgery. I enjoyed working with him because he was supportive, compassionate, understood what I was going through, and gave me exercises to help. I looked forward to my PT sessions because the encouragement I received from Bob during PT helped me stay focused on my recovery. I am now five months out from surgery, and I have a ways to go before I’m 100%, but Bob gave me the tools I need to continue with my recovery. I highly recommend him to anyone who has knee surgery.

I had both my knees replaced in the last 6 months. I was lucky to have Bob as my Physical Therapist. I never dreaded going. My recovery went extremely well. This would not have been possible without Bob's knowledge of my condition and his empathy and compassion. Thank you Bob, your staff and the entire Bone and Joint Physical Therapy family! You literally changed my life!
