Susan was amazing to work with. I learned more about myself and was able to incorporate new tools into my daily routine to use for my chronic issues. Her kind demeanor and openess made me feel very comfortable with her from the moment I spoke with her on the phone. Thank you for all you're doing to help others!

Although this type of therapy may not be effective for everyone--and for me, some parts of it were more effective than others--overall I had a very positive experience over the course of several months of sessions. I always learned something, and was able to 'customize' or tailor the various lessons to myself to get the most out of them. Susan was a very approachable therapist and always put me at ease, which helped immeasurably with the relaxation techniques we went through. The visual biofeedback readouts were also interesting/helpful, as I could see how effective my own behavior was--in real time! I could later recall what specific behaviors I practiced in-session had caused optimal good readings on the biofeedback monitors, and apply those behaviors outside (away from the monitors) by recalling what I had done to get good results. Finally, Susan was a consummate professional throughout, but at the same time I never felt as though there was a barrier between us; we could and did interact as fellow human beings, often chatting casually, which really helped me relax and be at ease. As with so many things in life, there's no one 'easy fix' like a push button to make things all better, but this therapy helped me effectively control my own emotions/tension/what-have-you, for the better. What's more, I enjoyed myself!

Susan Baumann, Mind Body OT, gets 5 stars. She taught me a skill set under the umbrella of Cognitive Behavior Therapy - Insomnia (CBT-I) that cured my insomnia! CBT-I is an excellent technique for those of us who prefer not to take medication or who cannot tolerate medication to treat sleep disturbances but it requires a patient, sensitive, and intelligent instructor and Susan was just that. And an added bonus is that I use the biofeedback and meditation techniques I acquired under her tutelage not just at bedtime, but throughout the day, every day, to lead a more relaxed, mindful life.

I would give Susan Baumann way more than 5 stars if I could. I saw Susan for help with chronic pain and insomnia and she helped me immensely. She definitely has a gift and it is clear she loves what she does. Her compassion is boundless and it was such a relief to finally have someone really listen and understand without judgement. I would highly recommended Mind Body OT. You won’t be disappointed

I was misdiagnosed with high blood pressure 6 months ago. Over time I was given 8 different blood pressure medications, and my Dr. increased my statin medication 400%. I was extremely fit and have been working out my whole life. I've always had a great diet, am a none drinker or smoker. The only medication I had been taking was a 20mg statin. The BP medications made me a difference person. Insomnia as well as tinnitus were two of the side effects and they were terrible. Everything from nights with no sleep to only 1-2 hrs of interupted sleep. I'v never had trouble sleeping and I tried everything from melatonin patches and tablets, CBD oil, over the counter sleep aids, sprays and eventually a scripted sleeping pill. None of them worked and the side effects from the scripted sleeping pills were awful. I was recommended to try CBT-I therapy from my new Dr. and that's when I found Susan Baumann.I worked with Susan for about 8 weeks and I no longer have insomnia and my tinnitus is now accepted is in a state described as habituation and does not interfere with my life. My other side effects, anxiety and depression are gone. Besides Susan being exceptionally qualified, with her 30+ years of experience in therapy, and a true professional, she cares. Susan went above and beyond answering my text messages, emails and occasional phone calls when I first started therapy. She made me feel comfortable and was extremely optimistic. Susan was 100 % spot on what we could accomplish. Susan said right from the start that CBT-I Therapy was not easy, but it works. Therapy wasn't easy with the journaling, different breathing exercises, techniques and other exercises, but I followed her recommendations. Once I got use to the program it became second nature and I know I will use many of the techniques for life. They were that powerful for me. The biggest hurdle I had to clear was her telling me up front that this takes time to work. I think most people want an instant solution for their issues and that's why so many people use medication, but at what cost? I highly recommend Susan if you are looking for a therapist. She's definitely "Old School" in regard to her care, compassion and putting the client 1st, but also practicing the newest methods in her field. I rarely write reviews but Susan Baumann deserves the highest recommendation. On a side note, I was weened off all the BP meds and was put back on 20 mg of statin. My BP is normal and my blood work terrific and I'm sleeping great.
