Merry Wood Lodge

I have been very impressed by the professionalism and caring manners of the staff. If an issues arises; they will address it and help come up with a solution that suits everyone to the best of their ability. No place or person is perfect but I am happy we have this facility in our community.

Rachael and Joanna are the best at transitioning their residents and families. Never a question to simple or hard for them. Always kind and friendly! They are one of the main reasons Merrywood has been chosen for my family member and friends as a long term residence.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff at Merrywood Lodge for the exceptional care provided to my father, W. Johnson, during his rehabilitation stay. I would like to specifically acknowledge RN Brianna and Dora, CNAs Courtney, Rena, and Ovetta, occupational therapist Jackie, physical therapist Adrienne, and Dr. Bolen for referring us to this wonderful facility. If your family member needs quality care, I highly recommend Merrywood Lodge as the place to be.

I went to Merrywood Lodge for rehabilitation after a bout of pleural effusion. I was bed ridden and unable to perform any activities of daily living. I received excellent nursing care and outstanding physical and occupational therapy!! As a Vietnam Veteran, I recommend this facility for any rehabilitation services needed!!! I received professional and caring services from Alicia and her dedicated Rehab staff. The nursing care provided by Chief Nursing Supervisor Glenn and her staff was personable and above par!! Thanks toDr Bolen for recommending this facility to the Veterans Administration community care program for ther approval and referral. I will continue the skills taught me at Merrywood Lodge at home!!

Very positive experience in picking up Vernon Lawrence to attend Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wetumpka. He was ready and waiting on the hall of his residence. It was an easy process of using the * 412 entry and the staff was very helpful in signing him in and out. Thank you.

Our experience with Merry Wood Lodge was wonderful. My father in law was in the dementia unit. They have a caring, experienced staff. They had activities for the residents every day. He was always clean and neat, as were all the other residents I saw on that unit. Having managed dementia units, this can be difficult for this special group of patients. I highly recommend Merry Wood Lodge. I wish we had found it much earlier!

Moved Mom into Merry Wood last week. What an answer to prayers! The staff there is just amazing! Everyone is so genuinely caring and concerned and committed to helping the residents. It’s heartwarming to see how well they work together(very rare). And with smiles! For the first time, in a long time, I can breathe a little easier, knowing my sweet Mom is truly being cared for properly with kindness.

Merry would Lodge was so good to my Mom. The staff was amazing. They made all of our family feel so welcome. It’s not like your regular rehab or nursing home. It’s clean. It’s a happy place. The staff, CNAs are excellent. Thank you all for all the kindness love you all showed our Mom.
