Mat-Su Regional Medical Center

I was there for an colonoscopy. I arrived early. There were some procedures before mine that went long so mine was pushed back a few hours. The staff was thoughtful and kept me informed. Once I went back everyone was helpful and efficient. The RN that brought me out was great. We had to wait a while but he stayed close and visited with us. The doc came out and talked results. It was. Longer day then I expected but the staff handled the schedule well.

I was treated with respect and dignity. My operation went well and the actions and professionalism of the day and night staff gave me comfort that all protocols to ensure my safety were being followed. My two floor nurses and their assistants were always on time and helped with my needs in a timely manner.sadly, having been on pain meds for surgery, I cannot recall their except for Larissa, Lerin and Kelly. I am grateful to the staff. The room was very clean and easy to navigate. The operating room was amazing although I want awake to see much of it. I "began my sleepy journey" as I believe my anesthetist said. Thank you all for watching over me. I know that things do t always go perfect, but you gave me assurance that you would do all you could to keep me healthy. And the food was really yummy!

Upon arriving, she asks me to sit and wait. By the fireplace, and then she doesn't call me. Next thing I know she's gone.The next shift started. I don't know why she couldn't call me when she was done serving the person ahead of me. The welcoming nurse was very impersonate. Unlike my 2020 surgery, which was way more pleasant.

ER care was good. Hospital stay was better than average. The ER Doctors as well as hosputal Doctors were knowledgeable and professional. The NURSING STAFF ARE AMAZING! Support staff such as respiratory, swallow therapist were outstanding. Extra shout out to nurses, John, and Dana, Thank you all for your care and dedication.

The nursing staff were professional and personable. There was a snafu with my IV and they were quick to fix it with plenty of staff on hand to assist. My procedure went smoothly. All questioned answered and everything was explained well. No complaints with any part of the process!

Had surgery last Monday and from the moment I walked into admissions, until the moment I left the hospital, it was a great experience. All of my nurses (Ann or Amy in post op, a little fuzzy there), the nurses and CNAs in Med/Surgery, were all amazing. I felt cared for and valued as a patient and a person.

Exceptional care. Dr LeCheminant performed an excellent abdominal surgery robotically and my small incisions have allowed me to recover super fast. He watched me like a hawk post op and made sure I was recovering well. His bedside manner and surgical skills are superb. Dr Ben Marvin/anesthesia and John Thiel CRNA gave me anesthesia for a long 5-6 hr case and I woke up without nausea or vomiting in my pt room. I also did not have a sore throat from the end otra heal tube. I was already tolerating ice chips within hours of surgery. Dr Marvin also ordered a nice cocktail of meds that took care of my migraine completely prior to starting surgery. Kristen RN in preop gave me 2 nice large bore IVs that lasted the entire hospital stay and made me feel at ease. She also made sure my migraine was taken care of and was very caring and sympathetic. Post op, I had 2 excellent and experienced nurses, Kayla and Jenny. The kept the Toradol IV coming regularly and encouraged me to walk but also rest when I needed. They took care of me like family and brought me lots and lots of ice chips. We laughed a lot together. My discharge nurse, Heidi RN, helped me pack up my stuff and got all my DC paperwork done very timely. She also went over DC instructions and made sure I knew what to do once I got home. The ER staff were outstanding and worked quickly and efficiently to stabilize me. Thank you so much. So grateful for day and night nurses And Doctors! So thankful for records staff who were prompt to put my records in my hand to carry with me to put in my doc's hands for stat follow up appt when we got back to my city. We had come down for the Fair. Yes, the food is good too.
