Don’t book with Kelly. She might not show up for her shift. I got there for my 10am massage and she wasn’t there so I didn’t get a massage. Apparently she’s known for not showing up. Other than her, massage envy has been great so I’ll remove this review once they let me know she’s no longer working there. I don’t want this disappointment to happen to someone else!

I had a 90 mission session with Amy and it was very good massage. She asked me the specific areas I wanted to work on and she devoted almost the entire session working on them. It was exactly what I requested and my shoulders and back felt much better when. She finished. She’s a great therapist that listened to my needs and delivered.

After experiencing numerous therapists to work on my injured back, I finally found Nancy at massage envy in Redwood City. She hands down is the best massage therapist so far. And I went through the whole Rolodex of them at multiple locations. . She applies the right amount of pressure to loosen up my herniated discs and help them heal better so I’m able to function at work pain-free for a few weeks at a time. I actually stopped taking my back pain medication since being under Nancy’s care. She deserves a raise because it’s very hard to find employees like her and I’m speaking as an actual business owner myself. Her professional attitude, and attention to detail is a rare find. Thank you Nancy. See you soon.

When you enter the bathroom here, it's pitch dark and when I felt for the light switch, I found some cables and hole in the wall and then the light flickered on. I reported to the front desk that this is a safety hazard but she talked to me as if I was crazy and said the light comes on automatically when you go in. I said that the light didn't come on and then she said that we need to give it a minute. I tried to explain that people would generally feel for the light switch in a dark room and they'd encounter these exposed electrical wires and there's a chance of getting an electric shock or being electrocuted. And she said that "the construction work is literally just going on". And I said that maybe the facility can post some kind of warning, she kept repeating "OK!" in a manner that felt condescending. So disappointed with the management here. It's unbelievable that they think that this is an acceptable and safe environment. The fact that the remodeling is going on, shouldn't put customers at a health/life risk. Attaching pictures of the exposed electrical wires and remodeling area which you need to pass to get to the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend this facility.

My first experience and was with Amy for massage, she was terrific! She did full body with special attention to neck area. Such a great experience that I signed up for membership and will try the other services included. Best deal ever!

After my massage I walked up to the receptionist to leave a tip. However, the receptionist added more to the tip and I didn’t look at the receipt before leaving the spa. I got home, looked at the receipt, called the spa and talked to the receptionist who overcharged me. She said she would make the correction. Checked the next day, no correction was made. Talked with the manager to request they make the correction- she said to give it a couple of days to process. I checked a week later and no refund for the extra charge was credited to my account. This is very disingenuous and fraudulent practice. This reflects poorly on the business. My suggestion is to tip the therapist directly.

If I could I’d give no stars! Shady management and rude people working the front! First I came in with a gift card that didn’t have a value expectation date or state that if prices went up since buying the card a different would be required. There actually wasn’t much fine print not even a bar code. The card clearly states it’s for an hour massage. It’s valid according to California laws. I was told by both the staff and manager that since this card was before they had set value gift cards and prices increased I’d have to pay a “$94 difference or a $45 dollar cancellation fee and they would take the card” why would I pay for something that wasn’t stated on the gift card and I nor the person who purchased the card had any knowledge of such a thing.I was looking forward to a fully covered massage aside from tip. Also I could go to my favorite place and pay the “cancellation fee” value for an amazing 1hr massage. The only reason I came here was cause it was gifted to me. I ended up paying “$50” for something I didn’t even get I’m livid! Scamming people out of money simply because you decide you no longer want acknowledge something that was less valuable when it was fist purchased. You were already paid for the gift card sorry it’s not as valuable anymore. That’s your problem not one I should have to pay a second time. That defeats the purpose of the “gift card” that essentially is just a piece of paper with words on it that hold no value! If the same thing happens to you, all I can say is call there corporate office because this is beyond uncalled for. Not that I can’t afford a massage here but a gift card that this company made should be honored. Now you are losing business because you decided to throw out the rules to scam people! This has nothing to do with your masseuses. Service starts at the staff and management and you failed’ so I’ll never recommend this horrible place! Also don’t think of reaching out asking me to take down my post or to send my dispute somewhere else! This review is for your potential new customers!

Massage envy never disappoints. There is a perfect match for everyone there. I have been a member for over five years and I have loved their service consistently. Amber is my favorite therapist - she takes excellent care with her clients.
