Deb is one of the most professional, kind, capable and helpful staff members on your team. She arranges transportation and coordinates appointments for patients and their care givers with skill that appears effortless. She never leaves one thinking they have “put her out”; however, I am sure we have. Deb makes you believe you are her only resident/patient with a need. Her logistical skills cannot all be learned, they come from a sincere desire to make life easier for people’s lives that have been turned upside down by a medical crisis or event. Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you! I am so deeply grateful for her and she confirms for me that angels do walk the earth.

Wonderful care! Kind, upbeat staff! Thank you you to Christa and King for your superb care, Margo(NP) for her medical expertise and for delivering care in such a calm and respectful manner,, Brey-Anna in Social Work for flawless support and one of the easiest transitions back “home” and Jennifer in PT. I’m afraid I have forgotten so many others on her team! My Mom came to you broken, you healed her and sent her back to her home in a better condition than she has been in such a long time! Thank you all!!!

All of the staff from the receptionist to nurses to the people cleaning the floors are very friendly and very helpful. The outside areas are very nice with pretty landscaping and flowers. Makes for a nice place to sit outside with person I visited. I have been told the food is good too.

I have visited this facility twice as an entertainer, and have enjoyed interacting with the people and staff. The residents seem very happy and well cared for.

I am very happy with the care for my Dad who is celebrating his 94th birthday this month. He loves the staff and the care he gets. They always greet me friendly when I show up to visit him. He’s healthy, well fed and always clean. Most nursing homes are short staffed, patients sitting in their own filth. This establishment is so different from the others.

My mother was recently admitted to Manchester Manor for rehab. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. They’ve taken such great care of her in just a short period of time.

Compared to other rehabs in the area, this one is excellent for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy. The rooms are nice, and generally the facility is quite clean. The primary reasons I did not give it 5 stars was a) the food was sometimes not edible but that’s a personal preference b) it can be very noisy in the hallways c) if you require an aide to help get you to the bathroom, more staff is needed or perhaps a different system put in place d) getting in touch with the case coordinator was very difficult. At Hartford Hospital the coordinator was very responsive and took in the needs of the entire family, focusing primarily on the patient. I feel like there are going to be safety issues at home that are not being addressed ahead of time and that perhaps there’s the potential for an accident. It is this reason for deducting 2 stars. It is not difficult to head off potential land mines. I tried to get in touch with the case coordinator several times in a week to find out she was on vacation and didn’t apologize for the confusion. She did not work with the entire family to make it safe to come home—that is very frustrating, time consuming and quite frankly, I’m afraid for my mother’s safety. A few phone calls could have cleared that up quickly and decreased my stress. Perhaps if you need a rehab, this could be great. Just get in touch with the Director first and express your needs in advance to head off potential issues before discussing with the case coordinator.
