I would not send any living person there unless you want them sicker. A 21 year old there post op spinal surgery patient left in bed for 24 hours. In a bariatric room but wheelchair can’t enter bathroom, waited 3 hours with exposed surgical wound after it fell off. Dressing onlly changed after it soaked through in 18 hours, 2 hours waiting for help to bathroom, he was reprimanded for calling home for help, not given meds as lpn “forgot”, staff angry at mother because she wanted accountability, 2 + days with a plugged toilet, told by staff to empty his own urinal, it goes on and on. I do have to add that there were several wonderful employees that actually tried to help that were never given the credit they deserved! To those thank you.

Nurse Manager 2nd Floor just passes the buck back to the hospital patient came to them from. Four days without insulin for a Type 1 diabetic. Hoping now he doesn't die. Never ran any type of test on him for Ketones in his blood. Nurse manager, LPN, and CNA rallied against me for knowing too.much. Got asked to leave facility because he needed to be changed, from a bowel movement, but because she just did 10 minutes ago. Well, guess what! He pooped! So if you don't want updates,or to be treated with respect.....stay away. I am reporting this incident to the NYS Dept of health and the Ombudsman of Loretto and pray my family member makes it out of there alive UPDATE: HE DIDN'T MAKE IT. HE DID PASS. Do not send your loved one here

I would first like to say that I'm a healthcare worker that love working in the healthcard industry and enjoyed my time as a healthcare worker at lorreto. I think lorreto is a great place to work and grow as a essential worker, that's why I don't understand till this day why I'm not rehireable with lorreto. I was a new employee at the time and made a mistake as a new employee would. As result of my mistake a meeting was called with myself, a union rep. and nursing supervisor and when asked by my union rep. at the meeting why wasn't I offered to be retrained as a new employee when other employee's like myself was offered to be retrained, I'm sure of the answer given because it's been a while since working for your company. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why this happen to me and I've try reapplying for employment with lorreto just to be turned down. I can't use my work experience at lorreto on my resume or as a reference. I have 5+ years experience and very dependable with good attendance and work ethic. I think lorreto should not be so quick to terminate new employees but give them another chance and more training if needed. I hope you take my review into consideration and remove me from the non-rehirable list.

No one wants to go into a nursing home or go through rehab. It is not home. It is not a vacation. There are many patients and their families want the best for them. Danielle on 2 Fahey, along with Rachel, Emily, Marcos, and others did everything they could to make my brother-in-law's stay the best possible. They made sure that he was cared for in a genuine and loving way. He passed away while they were by his side, keeping him comfortable and feeling safe. To all who complain, may I respectfully suggest communication with the staff, open and honest, without anger and without assumptions about those who are caring for your loved ones. Support and care goes both ways. We were blessed with the care that our loved one received at Loretto on 2 Fahey.

Disappointed with their choice in workers. A woman who is part of their staff came into our family owned business and refused to pay her bill for her birthday party, disgusting attitude and not only that but her friend she was with who had booked with us prior walked out of our establishment without paying her bill as well. Nurses are supposed to be held to a higher standard in care, they are supposed to be caring people who respect and WANT to take care of and make others feel better. Never dealt with someone more disrespectful in our place. Even gave her 200 dollars off her bill because she “couldn’t pay it” and her behavior was still so disgusting. Be careful who y’all let take care of your loved ones!

This is the worst place ever to send anyone!!! My brother was there for a few months and witnessed his roommate being abused by a nurse as well has having lazy social workers. His room had feces on the floor for days even after I asked that it get cleaned up. This is a nightmare place, don't send your loved ones to Loretto!!!!!

Room was filthy every day I walked in. Patients had to scream help or nurse to get anyone’s attention. I asked the discharge planner if she was there for the patient or the money. She refused to answer so that said it all. Would not clean my loved one after I bought everything for him to be cleaned with. I walked in the room one day and his bed was soaked in urine, the adult diaper I asked them to not put on him was filled with feces. There were many days I cleaned and dressed him. I would wake up daily in an instant panic to get to him to make sure he was ok. The days I could not go visit, not only made me panic but my loved one was scared. I would not recommend this place ever. If I could give this place a negative star it would be a million negative stars.

The administration there are some of the most unprofessional people I have met. The women (Chris, Danielle, Courtney, to name a few) seem to have a chip on their shoulder and think they are below the patient and the patient’s family members. I will say there were two male nurses that were very kind and the PT/OT staff were also kind. If your loved one has to go here, make sure you stay constantly involved.
