Our friend has been a resident at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford for about two weeks. Staff is attentive to the resident. She seems to get proper medical attention. They recognized when the resident's medical conditions changed and reacted quickly. Maybe due to staff shortage, when we arrived mid- morning one day (we usually visited in afternoon), resident was still in wet clothes/bed. She was changed and cleaned up soon after that. Staff is always pleasant to us and give us updates. Facility is kept clean and there is a reasonable protocol for visitors. Location is very convenient, particularly to this resident's home and friends. This is not our first experience with Lord Chamberlain Center and we are grateful for the facility and their staff.

I have nothing but great things to say about the staff at LC. They are such pleasant people to talk to and friendly. I feel comfortable keeping my mother there who has Dementia. I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

Lord Chamberlain’s is a very nice place. It’s clean, has nice decor (looks like a museum) and friendly staff. Great location, close to highway and ample parking space. I love the self check-in/check-out station. My friend that I visit there is very happy at Lord Chamberlain’s and feels very safe being there.

Worse place ever! The staff is rude, no communication, they don’t follow the doctors instructions. I could not get in touch with the staff when needed and there was no cell service although the WiFi was working , therefore I was unable to communicate with my mom on a daily basis,. the place is run down / old, the electric sockets don’t always work, staff was also complaining about not being able to charge their cells , the a/c was broken. I was told multiple times that they would bring my mother a recliner chair because the regular chairs were too small therefore she stayed in bed the entire time. Lori the social worker was awesome so was the nurse James, the women in PT were very pleasant . The rest of the staff should be ashamed of the way they treat people. If you don’t like your job then find a new profession , attitudes all day, they barely greet you and they look at you like your stupid when you ask questions . It seems like the second floor is for the elderly with dementia, disabilities and people who are dying so I’m guessing those people no matter. I’ve never had an issue on the 1st floor. Never again!!!

My 97 yo. Mother was just brought to Lord Chamberlain for physical therapy. I visited her for the first time today 8/6/23 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff was nice and the facility was clean and well kept.

My mom has been a patient at Lord Chamberlain for almost 5 years. She has been treated with kindness and respect. The staff is very caring and patient. The facility is very clean as well. I have only positive things to say.

I was a patient at Lord Chamberlain’s Rehabilitation in Stratford, CT. In 2022 for physical therapy to build me up from being in a Hospital for Cardiac care… It appears very nice til you see the room I personally was in. The bathroom floor was filthy with dirt build up all around the edges and corners. The ceiling over the bay window was soo badly water stained and mini blinds were half open and parts were broken. None of the furniture matched, it was old wooden pieces water stained.. The food was totally unacceptable. What they served was all puréed and heaven only knew what it was!!! The nurse had to read the food slip that came on the tray to tell me what it was!! My family bought me my meals!!! I received approximately 10 minutes of actual PT a day for 5 days.. My family contacted my cardiologist and he discharged me to home.. At one time Lord Chamberlain’s was a 5 star place for a loved one .. It is NOT any longer!

I would like to thank the head nurse Liz also nurse's Flo, Clem, Nari, Torina, Maryland with many other's for their top notch outstanding care and compassion to accommodate a comfortable stay thank you ! Awesome CNA's Jacky, Gladys and many more Unfortunately there are CNA's who need some adjustment or a stern talking too about their bad habits. Shout out to Val from house keeping who does a fantastic job even closing our door if need be to conduct his job thanks it's the little things! The physical therapy is fantastic and rigorous nothing to take lightly if you're here to excel and want to heal up healthy and strong the PT here will do just that I can attest. Food has gotten really good stepping it up but food service and food trays continue to be distributed incorrectly delivered cold sometimes more attention is needed. There is a restaurant within the facility with amazing food as well with salads good coffee and great chef's daily seriously make a visit to satisfy any additional nutritional needs unfortunately closed on weekends. The downside of this review why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 .. *I cant forget Dr.Leonid Karkanitsa who argued with me over my level of pain stating it's his way or simply sign out and go die outside this is a problem with this type of attitude knowingly they did not have all proper meds for over 48hrs causing great discomfort with pain even yelling at nurses who wanted to do the right thing and help. He escalated his anger with threats to go as far as dropping me as a patient to then walk up to my wheelchair intentionally bumping me then shouting at me stop harassing me very aggressively in front of all the Nurse's before running out into the Emergency stairwell. This is unacceptable unethical and immoral and shouldn't be tolerated by Lord Chamberlain's staff, managment and most importantly never ever threatening the patient! His bad attitude in my opinion is a stain to Lord Chamberlain's quality of care thankfully another doctor stepped in immediately and most importantly professionally handled the proper care required. Dr.Leonid Karkanitsa M.D who also has a medical business *Main st. Stratford Ct* that person described above who created a toxic environment by stepping into my personal space physically bumping me in my wheelchair twice before leaving that's a bullying SHAMEFUL attitude thank goodness I can advocate for myself cant imagine how many here have been a victim of his verbal and physical assault easily getting away with it ! Also I thought abuse like this should be reported to the police it was that serious but an elderly nurse refused to call stating Stratford PD will not come because it's not an Emergency there you go already covering it up. I wish it didn't happen but it did so full blast this goes to the public. Note; This was my own experience with this Dr.Karkanitsa, I cannot speak for any one else. Thank you Sincerely, Joey
