A Nightmare at the Emergency Room: Neglect, Harassment, Name Refusal, and made me wait for two hours only to Refuse to give me any treatment My recent visit to the emergency room was an unimaginable ordeal, characterized by neglect, harassment, and an utter lack of compassion. I must share the deeply troubling experiences I faced, which included the staff's refusal to provide their names, prolonged waiting times (i was the only one I’m waiting room), harassment from security guards and nurse, front desk receptionist cold heart, and the nurses' denial of even a simple request for ice for my pain as well as to provide her name. Upon my arrival, I was met with an alarming silence from the staff, who steadfastly basically ignored me. This detachment left me feeling utterly helpless and abandoned during a time of extreme pain and distress. The wait time was an agonizing two-hour ordeal that defied reason. As they ended up turning me away leaving me untreated. The lack of updates or any indication of when I might receive medical attention added to my despair. It was a stark reminder of the lack of consideration for patients in dire need. Adding to the nightmare was the harassment I endured from two security guards and nurse who aggressively told me I couldn't film, despite my attempt to document the situation. Their intimidation only exacerbated the distressing atmosphere and further compromised my sense of safety and well-being. They then proceeded to intimidate me with calling the police on me for filming which I invited them to do as it is our right to do so. They did call them and the police did say i was indeed allowed to film. To make matters worse, when I politely requested a simple and essential item, ice, the nurse and front desk receptionist flatly refused. This refusal was not only baffling but also inhumane, leaving me without even a modicum of comfort during my painful wait. My experience at the emergency room was a perfect storm of incompetence, negligence, harassment, and inconsideration. It is imperative that these issues be addressed, and the staff be held accountable for their actions, or lack thereof. No one should have to endure such a traumatic experience in a place meant for healing and care. In conclusion, the emergency room visit was a nightmare I will not soon forget. The refusal to provide names, the agonizing wait only for them to turn around and deny me care, harassment from security, and the nurses' denial of a simple request for ice are all indicative of a healthcare system in need of urgent reform. It is my hope that my ordeal serves as a catalyst for change, ensuring that others do not suffer in a similar manner.

ER service was decent but nurse was rude and insulting, assuming a fall was the result of drinking (it was not). No place for that. I would never allow this one (dark haired, female) nurse anywhere near me. Keep your attitude at home, honey. Secondly, and more ... the physicians group (Santa Ynez River ...) bill separately, which is not an uncommon practice. BUT, we were never informed of it, nor did they bill us! Worse... they didn't bill the insurance company either! Four years later, they sent this bill to collections -- a bill we never saw. And finally, the "physicians group" doesn't answer their phone. I think I'll make every effort to drive to Santa Barbara next time.

Went in on a Wednesday evening with broken knee and pulled tendons from knee to my toes, there was no physician available , put me in a brace and told me to call an outside Dr. On the following Tuesday. I called Wednesday a.m and was told I had waited too long and they couldn't help me, even though I was instructed to do so, . The Dr. then told me MORAL OF MY STORY, WE DONT HAVE A HOSPITAL IN Lompoc, we have a place for your physician to rent and use the high tech equipment , and not an actual E.R . Funny thing, I thought only real doctors were qualified to read your X-rays....not the nurses in training, not the X-ray techs. , but the Doctor. 2 nd time I've gone to see no doctor there at all to handle that kind of emergency. Now if I had a bad tooth ,or a weird rash, or cough, they can give you antibiotics and a couple pain pills. I left hospital with no pants on at midnight, a blanket around my waist , because they cut my pants completely off of me ,. Was there 20 minutes. Wfunniest part is that the citizens of Lompoc voted for the place. Bunch of misinformed, unable to comprehend bunch of people we are here in lovely Lompoc.Thank you Lompoc City board members for pushing that lame idea through leading us to believe it would generate money for Lompoc. We have lost more than we gained . What a price to pay. Id get better care going to a veterinarian office.

Admitted for an auto collision which left me with an injured leg and glass imbedded in my left arm. Left the ER same day, they seemed in a hurry to get me out of there. Had a CT scan which apparently found nothing though I'll be visiting another medical center for a second opinion, hit another vehicle going 60 and with the pain and stiffness still present 2 weeks later I refuse to believe there isn't at least a hairline fracture. Only wrote me a 3 day off of work note (ended up taking over 2 weeks off, couldn't walk without a crutch for at least 8 days) and didn't prescribe any painkillers or anything of that matter whatsoever. Essentially just throw crutches at me and said adios. Had a friend end up there as well after a wreck, again after CT scanning him they apparently found nothing and sent him home. He had pain in his abdomen getting significantly worse and it turned out that he had a laceration on his spleen that was actively bleeding into his stomach causing the pain. Ended up going to SB for treatment. This place is run by doctors that got their PhD off the back of a milk carton

If, I could, I would give this hospital a "0". Took one of my residents here for abdominal pain. They took him to get a CT scan. I asked a simple question to the RN, when will we get the results on the CT scan, He gave me an attitude and didn't know anything, about nothing. I guess the nurse's and the doctors around here don't communicate. Very disappointed in the staff. People that come to the ER, should be treated with proper care and not just a pay check. People that work here should have some better manners.

Decent care but be sure to ask aaaaall the questions about the person you are receiving care from. Without my knowledge, Hospital sent my tests to be read by a doctor who's out of my network leaving me to foot a $300 bill. Shady.

Ultrasound in radiology department feels like a torture. They do not know what they are doing, during the test hurting the patient, pushing the sono so hard/ deep into the abdomen by causing bruises, severe pain, and taking pain meds x days afterwards. Awfully unprofessional medical services, should be disqualified for this.
