Review For Jacob Studer: When searching for the center, And care to give my dad. I chose to call “Skilled Nursing”, And we are very glad! The staff provides such special care, Each and every day! Their quality of perfect care, Has daily been displayed! Skilled Nursing shows the skills they have. The workers really care! They make the family welcome, Their wisdom, they will share! If you need help for healing- They provide long-term too! Whatever Tis’ you need for care, We’re sure they’re right for you! If ever you need nursing care, What I’d like to suggest… Call on Lompoc Skilled Nursing, Their workers are the best! If you need help in gaining strength, And therapy, as well. They’ve shown to match, in quality, Of a fine Five Star Hotel! My Opinion in Rhyme

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, very unprofessional, my grandpa stayed at this residence, unfortunately he passed away a month ago. Due to the negligence and unprofessional Service he received, I honestly don’t recommend this place. I don’t want to get into detail or in depth on the service he received, but I am very disappointed, dissatisfied, and upset. With elderly they should be accommodated more, under better care, be more professional and attentive. Please take your family member somewhere else, unless you would like to receive the same care my grandfather received not just once but multiple occasions. If it weren’t for my two family members who attended to my grandpas needs he would have passed away beforehand staying in this place. Maybe other may have had better experiences but I am devastated to say my grandpas experience was horrible. Thank you for reading this & I hope this facility changes its policies & the way you care for the elderly.

My husband, David, was a resident at this facility. I would call this facility a "DIAMOND" facility. That means they went far above anything we have experienced to do their best to take of him. He had excellent, professional, caring, attentive, encouraging and friendly care by the entire staff. All of his Therapists, Jacob, Pam, Jamie, Peter were so authentic in their care and concern for David's health, wellbeing and recovery. They excelled above the normal care that most Therapist do. The Nursing Staff and CNA's did a fantastic job of meeting his needs and encouraging him as he healed. There are so many to name that i dont want to forget anyone, so a HUGE "THANK YOU SO MUCH" to you know who you are!! We have been blessed to have you in our lives. The front office staff, Theresa and Tammy (I consider them the AWESOME DUO of the ftont area) greeted us every day with friendship, love and concern. The activities personal, Silvia, Peggy and Mariza always walked miles a day,(Im sure their feet hurt at times too) still managing a smile and caring concern. The Kitchen staff under the eye of Tony were AMAZING. They produced the most delicious, appetizing foods, and tailored the diet (under Doctors supervision) to each patients needs. If David had a difficulty or could not eat something you bet it was taken care of expertly. Thank you for all you did daily to make my husbands meals enjoyable. Then there was the Social Services Staff, Denise is Lovely. She did everything necessary to make our stay easy and our transition home smooth. Every question, unusal situation and rough times was handled with professionalism and concern. She breezes thru her day with confidence and strength. The Administrator, Mark Hall, is a top notch person. He really cares that the facility operates at the highest level of Care and deals with issues right away. He is friendly and really approachable. I hope Im not forgettong anyone, but if i did, please forgive me. You all really worked hard and i consider you our family away from home.

I was a patient there about two years ago and the nursing staff all the way to the cleaning staff treat you like part of their family and the physical therapy staff are very professional. Now two years later after another surgery I asked to come back and it felt like I never left. The food is like I am at a restaurant not like normal hospital food they want you healthy. The physical therapy is outstanding very knowledgeable. The staff always seem to be in good sprites. I don’t know how the management does it this is not your normal Skilled Nursing center I have been to others if needed I would come here or send any loved ones here.. how do you put a price on your health. Everyone of theses people I feel genuinely care about you getting physically and mentally healthier. Hard to rate a place like this that keeps getting better. They are a roll model for other hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Professional staff good food and a lot of kindness goes a long ways. Russell Peterson

If I could give a location less than one star, I would. This facility caused my grandparents an immense amount of discomfort, pain and suffering through their lack of care and compassion. There are some good people employed here, but on the whole (especially including the Social Services Director) they lack empathy and compassion, and I hope that they either replace most of their staff, or that the few good people there find better jobs before they are sued out of existence for causing harm and prolonging pain. I rarely say such negative things, but my goodness, the management of this facility should take a long look in the mirror and reflect on who they are as human beings.

Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Great personalities of everyone involved with my care from nurses to social workers to kitchen help to cleaning crews...just such teamwork to make the patient as comfortable as possible. I would choose to go back there without a moment's hesitation.

The care, or rather lack of, was absolutely appalling. The receptionist at the front desk was disrespectful and very short with her attitude. I met mostly overnight workers aside from that and they didn’t care if they woke anyone up. Example, a worker dragging a chair across the floor creating a loud scraping noise and laughing saying let’s wake everyone up. If my friend called for help they would be sitting at the nurse’s station by her room and then disappear without a care as soon as she called for help with incontinence. I work at a hospital and to see this behavior is incredibly disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if they don’t have anyone to advocate for them.

The Rehab Nursing staff members are extremely helpful and caring. I was always impressed by the ability of the PT staff to work with patients who did not really want to “work”. The Memory Unit is quieter and has fewer patients, but the staff are terrific with both the patients and the visitors.
