The staff at Little Steps Libertyville are absolutely amazing, kind and patient! When we first started coming my son refused to go in the back, so they would work with him in the lobby. Now he has built a wonderful relationship with Miss Anna and looks forward to coming every week for OT. He loves to chat with Miss Christy (who is a rock star with the scheduling) before his sessions. Miss Jackie is great about checking in and seeing how things are going. We are so happy with the progress he has made and continues to make thanks to the staff at Little Steps.

“I felt like they were just trying to get more money out of us instead of actually helping us.” I’m sure my issue is bigger than this location but we did not have a good experience. Back in October we were charged $130 PER CLASS through insurance until we met our deductible. Then they offered us a price of $50 per visit if we did not go through insurance once we stopped making appointments. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY WERE UPFRONT ABOUT THAT MASSIVE COST DIFFERENCE. THEN I got a surprise bill for $420 for the initial evaluation! They said that the cost of the evaluation is determined at a later time. I was livid. WHAT?! HOW CAN THEY JUST BILL YOU THAT!? I wouldn’t have even started this with them had I know that. We only had 3 classes with them, the first one they said he cried the entire time so he didn’t even get to learn anything, they didn’t call us, they didn’t ask us to stay or anything. The second class I sat in on and was basically the teacher narrated what my son was doing and spoke to me about strategies for 30 minutes. The third class we canceled because the teacher was ill (thats fine, it happens)my husband went on our 4th and final class and said they didn’t do anything with my son but spoke to my husband about how he wasn’t improving and they need to do more classes. So in the end, we paid close to $1,000 for absolutely nothing. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of us since we were first time parents. I felt like they were just trying to get more money out of us instead of actually helping us. It’s so sad that those that need help are at the mercy of the system.

Little Steps is an amazing, super professional and simply a great place to be for a kid. I’m so thankful for their great approach which not only brought great therapeutical benefit in just a few months, but was also a lot of fun for our son. Dianna is an incredible OT and I cannot thank her enough for the amazing work she’s done. Thank you also Anna and Jacky for being engaged in our boy’s work and helping him achieve so incredible results.

Little Steps in Libertyville has been an amazing place for my son. He gets occupational therapy there, which has just been wonderful for and catered to his unique needs. What strikes me as one of the most positive aspects of this little steps location is how much the team as a whole take an active interest in my child, even if they are not a part of his current therapy team. The clinic manager, Jackie, is especially wonderful. She knows both me and my son and checks in regularly during our visits to see how we are doing. I would highly recommend taking your kiddo to this clinic if you are considering it. They truly make us feel like we are a part of the little steps family!

Jackie was absolutely lovely to work with! She listened attentively to our concerns and was able to address them all knowledgeably and professionally. Plus, she has a bright and bubbly personality that put our newborn at ease during her sessions.

My daughter sees Jackie and Abbey for Speech and OT the staff here is just amazing. They welcome us with completely open arms every time we come. There is nothing better than seeing people work so well with your child and caring about their development. When I first showed up I was so nervous but in a couple sessions we have already seen improvement! Thank you guys so much! Our daughter adores you all.

We could not be happier with our experience at Little Steps. The team took time to bond with our son and make him feel safe. They work at his level and provide expectations that make him feel like he has accomplished something. Our son says it’s his favorite activity to do and wishes he could go more. As far as impact, our son understands what he is learning and why is was learning it. The bonding done in advance made such a difference to the team being able to encourage his engagement for his journey. We travel pretty far to come here with other options available closer to home. However we found comfort in little steps in libertyville and are willing to make the drive for this exceptional team. We felt helpless when we walked in the door the first time. We knew we wanted to advocate for our son, but didn’t know how. Little steps has prepared us as parents, and has put our son on a successful path for speech, social emotional and fine motor skills. We still have a ways to go but feel confident that we are in the rights hands.
