I’m new in the area. According to my health insurance, this place has primary care providers that are accepting new patients. When I came in, I informed them that I was in pain, I asked them if they were accepting new patients and that I at least wanted to get the paperwork started (I had already chose a doctor to be my pcp in the system there.) I was turned around saying that they are only accepting LGBTQ new patients only and said “sorry” so I was refused care. First of all, what does an LGBTQ person look like? I didn’t know there was a particular look to be apart of the community. They automatically assumed that I was not apart of the community. Secondly, since when have places started refusing a person medical care? Terrible
