Started seeing Dr. Nick a few weeks ago and glad I did. I have had migraines and chronic dizziness for 7 years. Within a few weeks, I already see a huge improvement and have periods of time where my dizziness is very limited, which is a breath of fresh air after all these years! He is not your usual “weird” chiropractor and really knows what he is doing/puts you at ease and makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. Vicky at the front desk is also very nice and always willing to help accommodate your schedule. Highly recommend if you need someone who thinks outside the box!

As an “implant” to Connecticut, a former New Yorker, I’ve experienced all different kinds of professional providers. A little background before being referred I am a 30 yr old female/ mother/ wife who let life just get out of hand. When I was referred by my PCP to Litchfield family chiropractics I had no idea the changes in my life that were about to be made. Dr. Nicholas Varholak is much more than just your local family chiropractor. He spends a healthy amount of time going over your medical history, including any current medical issues. He takes his time to get to know you and understand you. With that being said, as we reviewed all of my previous medical history with obesity being a major factor in a lot of my pain Dr. Nick evaluated and gave me his honest advice on how to treat and improve my lifestyle in order to not only help my aches and pains but improve my quality of life. Instead of just a quick adjustment, he scheduled me for PT in his office and got my butt back on track with my physical health. Since starting with Dr. Nick I have lost 40lbs, with help from his expertise in nutrition, and motivating me to take back control of my life and to really take care of myself instead of taking care of everyone around me. All that aside he has wonderful bedside manner, his vast knowledge on the body and when what particular area needs what done as well as his ability to also work in a more holistic manner with acupuncture. This is the place to be if you don’t want to be lost in the shuffle of corporate healthcare. His staff is truly remarkable and pleasure to work with, always welcomed with a warm and inviting smile. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a wonderful chiropractor!

Definitely the best chiropractor I have ever seen. I received my first treatment by a chiropractor while I was living in Boston in 1977. Since that timeI have lived in Burlington, VT, Westchester, NY and LA and have seen some excellent chiropractors on a somewhat regular basis in each of these places. Since moving to Litchfield I've had the great fortune of finding Dr Nick. He is that rare individual that is not only extremely skillful at his work but also takes the time and effort to make sure you benefit greatly from every treatment.

I have been seeing Dr. Nick now for a couple of months and have never felt better. He has helped me with multiple issues from a rib popping out of my back to hip pain caused by pregnancy. I also completed a few acupuncture sessions with him to help my labor get started and to prep my body for labor. The acupuncture definitely helped me to be more relaxed. The he adjusted me after I gave birth and my body instantly felt better. He also adjusted my newborn with great care and she didn’t seem to mind it at all. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great chiropractor!

So grateful to have found Dr. Nick! I hurt my back right before Christmas and they got me in the same day that I called, I was in a lot of pain! I had never been to a chiropractor before and was a bit nervous but Dr. Nick was very professional and knowledgeable and quite literally put me back together again (just like Humpty Dumpty)! He also gave me great advice and some at-home stretches to help build my core and avoid future injuries. This is a great family practice and I highly recommend Dr. Nick if you are in need of a chiropractor or acupuncturist!

My back was in acute pain 2 weeks ago and I cold called Dr Nick. I was not a patient but Allie was kind enough to get me right in. Dr Nick is great! I got immediate relief after the 1st visit. Even though it flare up over the weekend after my 2nd visit everything quieted down and I am pain free once again. I will continue to see Dr Nick to ensure I remain pain free. 2 weeks and I am at 100% Thank you so much Dr Nick... you are awesome!

I intermittently experience muscle pain and and tightness due to functional asymmetry. Sometimes everything feels off; other times specific muscle groups become sore and tight in a pattern that is a mystery to me. Dr Nick is amazing! By leveraging a holistic approach to myofascial pain and dysfunction, he crafts a targeted and effective treatment plan. Great hands! Feel better fast! Now it is so much easier for me to remain active and enjoy the beautiful Connecticut outdoors.

While this chiropractor reduced the pain I was experiencing, I found his bedside manner to be astoundingly unprofessional at times. Additionally, during a visit where I was in the waiting room awaiting check out, he lost his temper over internet connectivity issues and was horrendously rude to everyone involved. He went so far as to insist commandeering the phone from the receptionist and yelling (no exaggeration) at the tech who was trying to help. This all happened with patients NEARBY. It was extremely uncomfortable and I would not recommend this practitioner.
