As an elementary school teacher, I've seen firsthand how challenging it can be for students struggling with anxiety, attention issues, handwriting, and reading. So when my own son began to face these hurdles, I knew we needed expert help. Thankfully, we found Life Span Therapy. From our very first meeting, Angela’s insights were invaluable. She discovered that my son had visual tracking issues and retained primitive reflexes that were impacting his academic performance and confidence. She provided us with practical exercises to work on at home and guided us through the process during our sessions together. I won't lie; at times it was hard to keep going, especially when we were committed to doing her recommended exercises nightly. But I can confidently say that every bit of effort was worth it! After a year of hard work and dedication, the changes we've seen are truly remarkable. My son is now enjoying school, reading fluently, is on grade-level in ELA, and his anxiety has completely vanished. To anyone who might have doubts, I encourage you to persevere! The transformation is absolutely possible. I now have a deeper appreciation for the role occupational therapy can play in helping students overcome their challenges.
