My Dad entered this place for rehab after a long hospitalization. Less than 1 week at this rehab, my Dad fell twice. I understand there are falls at nursing homes. However, when a patient enters there who is very sick, confused, and has high risks for falls, you put safety measures in place. For example, having bed alarm so you know the patient got up. Having the patient use a wheelchair until they are stronger. Or making sure they use a walker. My Dad was using a walker perfectly at home. Now my Dad is hospitalized again because obviously no one was watching him. Did you even read my Dads paperwork before he arrived? He needed serious supervision. He is very sick. That's why he was there. When I tried to find out what happened they were rude on the phone. Like it was my Dad's fault. No its your fault for not watching him closely. I am so sad about what happened to my Dad. Thanks for making him suffer. Absolutely, no compassion. I don't want a call from anyone at this horrible place. Wish 0 was an option.

Do not leave your family at this facility. They neglected our family member and caused them to sustain pressure ulcers from not providing adequate care that is a requirement. They didn't provide a shower for 2 weeks until family got involved and filed a complaint. Our family member had a stroke and was paralyzed, however, they were making great progress at a different rehab until they entered this facility and began to rapidly decline. Our family witnessed verbal abuse and neglect from the staff and addressed it with the leadership of the facility. They swept it under the rug and wanted him to leave their facility as a resolution to the complaints of neglectful practices. Their son was in charge of decisions and they moved his father against his wishes to a facility that did not cater to his medical needs. His son spoke to the Director of Nursing who lied and said they were not moving his father despite her telling his father he was being moved after the complaint was filed. This was clear retaliation for reporting the abuse. Please reconsider leaving your family here and consider other facilities on the northshore that have a better state score and less safety citations after an annual inspection.

In general it was clean and the staff was friendly. But I was a visitor not a patient. The woman in the bed next to my friend kept screaming and yelling. It would have been nice to her her in a separate room.

I have 3 loved ones in Life Care, long term. The staff has always been kind, respectful & compassionate & the residents seem happy & cared for. I’ve visited for several years and the care is pretty consistent, without overmedication that I’ve seen in other facilities. Every nursing home, sometimes is left short staffed & residents might wait a bit longer for needs to be met, but they are one of the best over all. Well done, staff of Life Care!

This is the worst place I have ever seen as far as staff goes. My LO was placed there after a stroke which left him completely blind. Granted this was a unique situation but they were supposed to be the professionals. One night they called me and said they were sending him out because he was picking himself up and throwing himself on the floor. They had picked him up twice. I talked to my LO , asked why he was doing this he said someone else was doing this. I understood what he was saying by talking to him for a few minutes, why didn't they? No just easier to send him out., to which the did not after that! They would leave him in dining room where they could see him but not pay any attention. Simply terrible! I wouldn't send my worst enemy there!

hate the so called professionals who work here, did not take care of my grandmother and one time she threw up and an aid told her “why would you eat if you’re just going to throw it up” unprofessional patient care. edit: please don’t put your loved ones in here unless you want them to pass, they don’t take good care of them when you’re away & not visiting.

Caring and friendly staff! There was good communication with nurses, case managers & PT staff… by returning calls and answering questions asked. This is so important for both the patient & family members. I would recommend the Life Care Center of the North Shore in Lynn for sure.
