I'm a travel nurse and I've been assigned to this facility for the past 4 months. This facility and the staff are amazing! With over 30 years experience in rehabilitation and long-term care, I've never worked with a more professional team. The staff gets along very well. That goes a long way setting the friendly, caring environment that the residents live in. The staff are hard working and genuinely care for the residents. I would come back to work with this team anytime!

I've been a resident here for almost 3 years. The nursing staff have all been very nice, friendly and caring. The activity staff is great. I love my social worker she always helps fill out paperwork. I will be here for the rest of my life and I wouldn't want to he anywhere else. The appointment maker is great. They make me feel like family. I love The Legacy. My favorite nurse is Rowena she always cares and stops by when she sees me. My favorite CNA is Isela and Mariana and Chelsea and on night shift my favorite is Nicole and Julianna. They make me laugh and make me happy. They keep me young. I live the family I have here. I can't say enough how much this place has changed my life and made me happy. I wish I could add more starts! I love it here!!!!!

If you want to drain the will to live out of your loved ones this is the best place to send them. The entry room is cute but the patient rooms are more barren and lifeless than Neptune. Not sure how they can call themselves a “rehab” when they give up on their patients the second they show any signs of depression. There is no plan in getting the patients ready to actually leave the facility they just shove them in shared rooms and forget about them. Asked a nurse when a patient could go home and she said there’s no reason they’re even keeping her there. So she was wasting away in there because not a single nurse or doctor actually cared about her enough to get her in a condition to go home. No treatment plan no physical therapy goals nothing to give the patients comfort or hope. Just a bed and four bare walls.

If you have a loved on keep them far away from the Legacy Rehab & Care Center. My family and I discussed with a caseworker prior to bringing my mother-in-law to this facility all they talked about to us was positive. They never said they were under Covid restrictions that you were going to have to wear a full-blown K 95 filter mask goggles And fill out a book like a new patient at a doctors office for every visit. The lady at the front very rude we asked for this packet for up coming visit so it doesn't take us so long to get in. The rude receptionist said the lady that gave it to us wasn’t supposed to and I am going to have a talk with her. She’s just miserable and takes it out on the guests coming in and coworkers obviously. My family and I have talked to the head lady in the side office There’s no sign that says employees only so I went back there to Look for that lady because of their miserable receptionist and they are yelling at me. We went back there prior because It took them over an hour and 40 minutes to answer call lights for patients and when somebody asked to go to the bathroom at 80 years old they cannot wait for an hour and 40 minutes. The male nurse at night time would not even tell her what prescriptions he was giving her when she asked he just said that your nighttime pills just take them. The Service for the patients and guests is just not there. All we want is to get her up and walking again to get her home. If I can do it over again I would’ve never sent her there if you love your loved one avoid this facility.

Aside from the CNA's who do most of the work, Legacy has become a one-star operation. During my Dad's 4 month stay, they caused skin tears, a concussion while pulling him up into the bed (they hit his head on the headboard and he lost consciousness), and the final episode was the doctor transportation van. My Dad was in a wheelchair and placed into the van without a seatbelt. The driver went to other side of the van, and my Dad fell out of the wheelchair backwards. He suffered skin damage and abrasions to the back of his neck, arms, and a cut on his toe. Since then, the cut was not cared for correctly by their wound nurse. Dad has had a leg amputation and Legacy put my Dad on a "do not admit" list. I know this is due to the fact that I am a caring family member and watch every nurse in contact, and I visited daily. One instance, he had a nurse working during the night. She would make my Dad wait over an hour and a half to use the bathroom. He cannot hold it and had to go in the adult diaper they demand each patient to wear. He was humiliated. I read the reviews and went against my better judgement. I am ashamed and hurt I ever allowed my Dad to stay at Legacy. Please, please do not let your loved ones stay here. The director listens with 2 others present only, writes notes and rebels. They know there is a lawsuit coming, I'm sure. However, I want my Dad in good care first before dealing with the lawsuit.

I have been here for about 3 years. My favorite CNA's are Sara, they care about me as a person and make me feel at home. I like actives they always keep me busy and I like the games. I love seeing Devan he is a good young man. I love Marianna. She is the best. They are my family. Joy is always very nice everyday. Ester is my favorite on night shift she takes good care of me. We are growing tomatoes in actives right now and they are doing good. I appreciate all the staff. They have all been so attentative and caring.

Legacy is staffed with professionals who truly care about their patients. My mother is getting the best care and attention. Destiny the director responds to calls and emails usually within minutes which is almost unheard of these days. Legacy gets a 10 for everything from Staff to cleanness and personal care.
