TOO LONG;DIDN'T READ version: If you're looking for high-quality athletic development and even higher-quality people, go to Laurus. I was at Laurus for 5+ years. Julie and the Laurus Team are some of the best in the industry. After tearing my ACL (and subsequent knee injuries), I thought I was done. Doctors told me the same. Laurus helped me overcome that, elevating me to some of the best years of my athletic career and building a strong foundation for a future of active adventures. Groups are small, so coaches can observe, give feedback, and adjust. In conjunction with their data/science-based approach, they get to know their athletes holistically (sleep, nutrition, stress, etc) that are equally as important. I was given a program specific to me, taking into account movement patterns that didn’t feel good, imbalances I have, and areas I needed to improve (informed by their comprehensive testing). No cookie-cutter programs, trends, or fads, just what works as long as you work. Outside of their professional expertise, Julie is a wonderful human being. I’ve seen firsthand her commitment to her staff and athletes. She's attended my matches, sponsored our team jerseys, and always been open to me stopping by when I'm in town. As a small business, she was steadfast in keeping Laurus operational during the pandemic, knowing how important it is to those around her. At Laurus, they really care about you. As I search for something similar out of state, medical professionals across disciplines will note how well I move, or be amazed at what I'm able to do amidst the injuries I've had. It is without a doubt that Laurus played an immense role in that. Much gratitude to Julie and the Laurus Team! If I ever find myself back in MN I'll be there. Photos are from 2015 & 2020 doing vertical jump testing with and without a force plate. What a throwback.

Provides professional, cash-based Physical Therapy AND Athletic Performance Coaching, specializing in ACL Rehab and sport performance (mainly soccer, but all sports). Very welcoming and relationship-driven staff and culture/feel. Physical Therapists are personable, and not restricted by big-insurance, so the sessions are ~1 hour, comprehensive, and data/process driven (more like a personal training session rather than a 20min ice and stim session with a student because the PT is too busy to give you any time and doesn''t know your name). You will always get incremental testing and communication along the way, and treated as a person, not treated as an injury or a "customer" Strength & Conditioning Coaches have Master's Degrees in Exercise Physiology, and are nationally certified, and groups are small and each athlete gets a personalized, long term plan built for them. Coaches are fun, high energy, and have decades of experience in professional, collegiate, and private sector training environments, as well as personal training. Each athlete is treated as an individual, not a number in a large group.

Outstanding physical therapy for my meniscus tear. Would highly recommend. Long full service appointments that was less expensive than a more traditional setting.
