This place is awful, genuinely have no clue how it’s still running with how understaffed it is. The residents aren’t getting the full care and attention they need, and some of them are extremely aggressive towards what little staff is there. I’m curious as to why HR hasn’t done their job and stepped in, everyone needs some serious training, and they need to hire so many more employees. Look, I’m just a bystander but my sweet friend who was a CNA here (had to quit because of how she was treated) called me almost every night crying her eyes out with how awful it is there, didn’t know we were still in high school and gossip was still a thing by the way, from what I hear the employees are super toxic to each other. But honestly? If I was severely underpaid and severely overworked I’d probably have an attitude too. Why hasn’t there been a serious training done? Why hasn't there been more staff hired? I know there are people wanting to work! Get it together for the sake of your staff and residents. Lastly, I just want to say I feel bad, from the stories I’ve heard, it sounds like a nightmare working there. I hope your guys HR gets it together and try’s to improve work life for the employees and living life for the residents. Wishing you all the best.

Unfortunately this place is a disaster. They are completely under staffed, leaving residents to receive very poor and insufficient care. Staff members are over worked and under paid. The employee culture is toxic and management lets it continue. With the amount of residents to staff, patient conditions very easily go unnoticed. Its completely filthy. I would not ever send a loved one to this facility. A major overhaul in management needs to take place. Please consider sending your loved one else where.

Well for starters if I could give zero stars I would. I have been fortunate enough to meet some really awesome residents and a few awesome co workers, but that being said they are extremely understaffed you will walk in the halls and see patient after patient just sitting yelling for help only to be helped with attitude. Now don't get me wrong thier are some absolutely amazing people that work here but unfortunately the bad out weighs the good. The administration can be really awesome if you're on thier good side 24/7 but if you get on thier bad side you will get targeted and eventually loose you're job , i saw this happen to multiple peoples including my self recently . I was thier for about 8 months and withing this time 3 different administration 3 different managers in all the head departments. Favoritism is a huge problem they have and a few other things that we'll I just won't be saying on here. Take my word for it don't bring you're loved ones here thier are so many better options in town

I understand this is not the name of this nursing home...it was Country Villa River View ...now Lassen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. What ever, I was there in September, visiting my mother (a resident with Alzheimers for eleven years) I have made 8 cross country trips to see her and had been relatively happy with the overall care given to her. She doesn't know me anymore, hasn't for several years, but after turning her over to a guardianship agency, everything seemed to be running fairly well. This last trip however, middle of Sept. 2014, things had changed, I felt so sorry for everyone there. I hate the way things have changed and there seems to be nothing I can do. The compassion, the affection the nurses and aides had shown, the TV's on with no sound, so many taking naps in the halls, smelly, gloomy, just so sad. I'm not sure what has changed in two years, staff, owners, management, something sure has.

My experience with this place has been through the care of my grandmother. She has been a resident for the past several years. Every time I've come to visit her I've hated leaving her. Part of me has been glad she can't remember so she isn't aware of what is really happening. A couple of months ago my grandmother was beat with a cane by a homeless man who was living at the facility (free of charge btw) because he thought she was "stealing" from him. Why on earth he was even allowed to live there is beyond me, especially since everyone is paying to have their family members there. I understand county actions are in progress but this should have never happened. Currently my grandmother is in pain awaiting pain meds from the doctor who is off today. My family gets to watch my grandmother, who we have been told is on her death bed, while we wait to interrupt the doctor on his day off b/c there's no back up doctor onsite. This is unacceptable. The life of my grandmother might not mean a sense of urgency to those who work there but she is beloved by her family and those who know her and she deserves more from the healthcare system. I get that this is the only place in town, but the only place in town needs to do better for its patients. If my grandmother truly is on her deathbed then she deserves painless exit from life. I can't imagine this is an isolated incident. There needs to be an all call doctor asap. the only reason why I gave this place a one star is b/c I have to in order to post this otherwise they wouldn't be getting a rating at all. I'm begging all of those in Lassen County Health industry to do better for its elderly folks.

This place is filled with caring and compassionate Nurses and CNAs. I will not think twice about bringing my love ones here for care.
