Working at Larchwood Inns has been a great experience. Everyone is super kind and compassionate. I really enjoy all the events that Larchwood Inns put on for the residents and seeing how much joy that brings them!

Dad was very well cared for during his stay at Larchwood Inns. The staff is very determined to deliver the best care for patients. And very accommodating for our situation.

My mother has been a patient/family member at Larchwood for a couple of years now. When I was placing my mom I researched most all of Grand Junctions facilities and spoke to many people and opted for larchwood for my mom. The front office staff was remarkable. Ginny helped me with the Medicaid paper work which was a very massive and confusing undertaking for me. Ginny made this part of the process so much smoother and her many years of experience shined. The rest of the front staff were also great beyond words (Thank you). The nursing staff is a 10 out of 10. My mom loves these people as does my dad. Joyce is so kind and helpful and a wonderful RN. The aides that assist my mom are so caring and gentle and very professional. Now as my mom is at the end of her life The staff has moved her into a very nice private room and is accommodating our whole family as it it were their own. The kitchen staff has brought a cart full of drinks and snacks for my family as we stayed by my mom side. My moms night Med Assistant (Jake) was very helpful and informative as was the nurses aid (Kate or Katie?). The whole Larchwood staff is extrodinary beyond words. I read one review where the reviewer was unhappy about the "rude" person at the entrance (8 months ago), this person failed to mention that Covid was an issue and Larchwood was following strict guidelines for any persons entering the building to protect their patients. As my mom entered the final stages she was visited by kitchen staff in her room, maintenance the front office staff some even with tears come to her room see her to say their goodbyes. These people are compassionate as you can find anywhere. Thank you Larchwood staff for being my moms other family in her final days. I highly recommend this location to take care of your loved ones.

Larchwood Inns has been so wonderful. They are always willing to help with any questions that are asked and have always returned my phone calls. Their nurses and CNA's are so kind and caring and actually treat all residents with love and kindness. They are so appreciated.

My wife and I are medical power of attorneys for our neighbors and we pretty much do everything for them. We recently had to move one of them into a nursing home, so we started checking them out and ended up here, what a mistake. They sent there admissions person to the house to make sure they could handle everything with her and they said she would be no problem. She could not get herself in or out of bed, on and off the toilet, in or out of a chair without help. They were not the cheapest but we thought they were a good fit as she needed a mental care option. First of all the exit doors do not lock so getting out only sounds an alarm and by the time someone gets there they are already out the door. Most mental care places have locking doors, what a concept. then after only 2 weeks they said that she was to much for them and we had to find another place for her, she only weighs 113 pounds. We said that we had checked with most places and could not find a place to take her, Larchwood's response to us was that they would evict her at the end of the month if we did not find a place for her. She was one of the most heartless people I have ever seen to be in nursing care, she was just nasty. She said that we had lied to her about her being an escape risk but she had been in the same home for over 30 years and did not see the need to escape her own home, so we had no idea she would try to get out. Even there Dr. said to just give her a month or so and she would settle in, that same Dr. said they just need to do there job. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE INTO SUCH A PLACE.

My Mom was in Larchwood Parc East after being in a terrible car accident and 2 surgeries. She had a compounded break on one leg as well as a metatarsal fracture on her other foot. She was pretty much incapacitated. If she had only needed physical therapy Larchwood would've been fine. Their physical therapy people are awesome! But my Mom needed so much more care and help getting in and out of bed snd going to the bathroom. She had an open wound on her leg that needed dressing changed daily and had specific instructions on how to care for it from the doctor. But the wound team at Larchwood from the get go questioned everything the doctor had instructed and rather thsn call his office did their own thing. I question also how sterile they were when they changed her dressing. Needless to say she developed a MRSA infection and had to go back into the hospital and have another surgery. Larchwood was dark and dreary. They have dark brown carpeting and dark yellow walls. Not a bright cheerful place. Their RN's were good but some of the CNA's were still in high school. Also, the food was horrible. My Mom is diabetic and all they fed her were carbohydrates. The vegetables were all gross canned and just looked awful. My Mom had almost stopped eating all together but they never seemed concerned. All she wanted to do was sleep alll the time and they didn't care. Thank goodness I was there to keep an eye on things and question things. There was also a problem in getting her the correct thyroid medication she has been on most of her life and was off of it for 3 weeks. Aside from some of the staff, I do not recommend this place.

The nursing staff, CNA's, and servers all deserve 5 stars. The level of cleanliness and ambiance also deserve 5 stars. However, the food is very subpar. Nothing unwholesome, just half assed, canned, unseasoned, cheap cafeteria, lunch lady land, with little thought to taste or palatability.

Went there to inquire about moving my mother there. Was 'greeted' by a rude woman who stood in the doorway and didnt invite us in. Besides being rude she wasn't helpful and didnt seem to care.
