Extremely unprofessional practice owner. Terminated a child from services, yelled at me on the phone, and then hung up on me after being asked to reimburse over billed amounts confirmed by insurance to be due back to us, with ample documentation and multiple phone calls/messages trying to be pragmatic and work together. Still refuses to send an itemized statement to help sort the issue out. Deleted our client portal so we can’t see any messages or the vague billing summary available on it that they change frequently to hide inconsistencies. Very concerning. We are super bummed, as the therapist we saw was actually wonderful and now this will be another trauma for my kid to try to cope with. Therapists are great but just be wary of balance billing and know your plan and rights.

Willow is one of the best therapists I've ever encountered. She's so calm and understanding and validating. She really has a way of getting to the core root of your trauma and making it all make sense. I'm sometimes nervous to go to my appointments but I always feel better afterwards. The initial appt intake was easy and seamless and I'm happy with who they matched me with. It's been 3 months of great progress. Definitely recommend!

La Plata Family Therapy has been a wonderful resource for our family. Katie and Hillary are wonderful at what they do and the care of the entire team has been evident from day one. Jen is a gem at helping with complex schedules and it is obvious that everyone we have worked with is dedicated to helping families to thrive.

Hillary Wolfe, owner of La Plata Family Therapy is a long-time colleague and friend. She and I practiced together under the same roof for years, lead groups and continue to meet monthly for consultation and discuss how to better our clinical and business strategies. I often refer to her practice as I know anyone seeking quality care will be in good hands with her and any of her clinicians. I hold high standards for my own practice and when referring anyone to another clinician hold them to the same. La Plata Family Therapy is a practice that I can feel confident in sending people to receive the care they are looking for and the treatment I expect and feel our community deserves.

I am pleased with the compassion my son feels as soon as he walks in the door. A smile from Jen, to welcoming greetings from his therapist. As a mother, I can feel the peace my son has as we drive to and from his sessions. We are thankful for La Plata Family Therapy and would highly recommend this staff.

I brought my 7 year old daughter into Angela’s office several months ago desperate for help. My daughter has been struggling with severe Sensory Processing Disorder for years. We have been to several different doctors and OT clinics over the years without any real progress for her. During our first appointment, Angela presented information to me about the disorder that I was surprised to have never heard of before. I immediately saw light at the end of the tunnel and felt there was real hope for my daughter. With consistent visits with Angela, we have seen tremendous results. A few months ago, my kiddo carried a heavy weight on her shoulders, constantly struggling with the way her clothes felt on her body and it completely controlled our lives. Now she is stress free, happy, and has burst out of her shell into a carefree little girl who can enjoy her childhood. I am forever grateful for our experience with La Plata Family Therapy and honored to have had the privilege to work with Angela, who is a truly a lifesaver. She’s the BEST!

We are so grateful to have worked with Angela at La Plata Family Therapy. Our 5-year-old was struggling with emotional regulation and disruptive behavior at home. Nothing we tried seemed to work and the stress within our family was becoming overwhelming. Our little guy is sensitive AND spirited and we we at a loss for how to best help him. I knew of play therapy for kids, but had no idea that Occupational Therapy could be so beneficial for emotional issues. After a few months with OT (including a simple home program we completed most nights), we noticed a big difference. Little things that used to set him off no longer did and time together became much more lighthearted. Angela was great with our son, always patient and kind. She also helped us parent more effectively and taught us to "connect before correct" rather than focus on the more classic discipline (ie timeouts) that always seemed to just make things worse. Our son is still a spicy five-year-old boy, but now we have the necessary tools to help him navigate to the best of our ability. Thank you!
