Spent 5 days here in mid July for a seizure and heat stroke. The hospital and the people were the best. I have only good to say about the staff and my stay. Thank you Parker for such good care.

Yes, the ER service has improved greatly. However, their billing is corrupt. Without getting into details watch your billing as in your insurance vs what La Paz will hit you up for. I have had to protest twice on incorrect billing and both times got my billing adjusted down to what was correct. Wasted time and effort and telephone connection delays.

Our local rural hospital comes through and impresses again! Last week I went in with suspected appendicitis. The hospital was very professional and had the latest in technology! Brand new CT scan that was state of the art and beautiful. The perks about a smaller hospital is how fast everything can move. All diagnostics done and they set up surgery within a couple of hours! Surgery team has a wonderful sense of humor and kept everything upbeat and "not scary". Dr. Saiz had me in and out in under 90 minutes with minimal pain or discomfort. I am so grateful that we have this wonderful hospital in our backyard. We are a blessed community.

Because of my overall experience as a patient of La Paz Regional Hospital, I'm not hoping to return anytime soon, but will definitely recommend anyone in need of excellent healthcare. From the ER admission process to the evaluation room, I was treated with extreme care and attention. Although I was in serious pain from a jet ski injury, I do recall the nurses and other team members that were extraordinarily attentive to my pain level and evaluation: I recall Shannon with the admission/front desk. Next, I want to fully share my heartfelt appreciation to Wendy for making sure I had the Call-Button within my reach and the proper dosage for pain relief. Next, was Leona (I hope that's the correct spelling of her name), with the Cat-Scan (twice) to be sure my kidney's were unharmed. She fully grasped my pain level/9 from 1-10 and did everything possible to help me maneuver from the evaluation room to the Cat-Scan room where I need to lay flat for the imagining. Lastly, my sincere appreciation for Dr. Berkowitz (I think the spelling is incorrect) attention and careful evaluation of my injury. He's an expert healthcare professional with an emphasis on my injury. Understandably, I get how others may have had particular issues with some patient care. To be blunt, the care I received from everyone at LPRH, was very caring, professional, polite, timely and protection from spreading COVID-19. Keep up the excellent care Team LPRH!

I was told today my LaPaz Regional that they do not do MRIs the stupidest thing I think I've ever heard. My physician from the clinic ordered an MRI with or without contrast almost two weeks ago and I called today to find out when I'm going to be scheduled for it The lady and scheduling said let me talk to radiology she was back on the phone in 2 minutes she was informed to tell me that they do not perform that test at that hospital totally incompletely absurd

Seems a lot of the negative reviews are ER based, this is for the surgery center. I had hernia repair surgery here in early March. The surgery center and staff had been wonderful! I was taken bedside in a timely manner and was on my home shortly thereafter. I was treated with nothing but respect and care, and I appreciate it! I would come back to the surgery center without hesitation.

Don't go to this Hospital. I went there for an injury to my ribs due to coughing while traveling out of town. They didn't treat my injury, but admitted me to treat me for a mild case of pneumonia. After some sleep and I had my senses about me (up all night in pain with no sleep), I told them it was necessary for me to be there and that I was leaving. There was no immediate plan by the doctor to discharge me. As I discussed this with the doctor, he even agreed that I "had what I needed" to treat my mild pneumonia (I was already being treated for this by my doctor back home). They still would not issue an official discharge and refused to write a script to ease the pain and cramping in my ribs (which is what I came there for in the first place) since I was leaving "against medical advice". From my point of view, all they wanted was to bill my insurance for the most they could get, and they didn't even treat me for the reason I came to their hospital. Personally I feel that I was succered into an insurance racket and I got ripped off. I wish I could tell my insurance company not to pay them since they didn't do what I asked the to do.

Dr Richmont should retire. I could have done everything that he didn't do at home. I mean, just because somebody's in pain does not mean it's drug seeking behavior and I would have preferred him to be not so apathetic towards my situation. I mean a couple muscle relaxers & ibuprofen would have made the world of difference. Other than that the rest of staff were pleasant. BTW dirtiest HOSPITAL I've ever seen... Blood and dirt and bugs EVERYWHERE filthy
