I was considering this facility for my Mom. I likely dodged a bullet because the Admissions contact was very unorganized and unprofessional. I attempted to work with her for two weeks and she was did not communicate next steps well and lacked follow through. At one point she phoned me to discuss another client as demonstration of her lack of disorganization. I would be careful about placing your loved ones here. It could be an indication of the disorganization within the facility and indication of quality of care. I asked to speak with her supervisor but was told there was no one there more senior to assist. Proceed with caution.

Not happy about my 94 year old mother being there at all but it’s up to my sister... so far my mother’s been chocked, and at least once that I know of, her gift of candy and birthday flowers were withheld from her until the next day after delivery, until I found out. No telling what they did. I had to call social services to check on her after mom complained about her treatment... bottom line! I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The staff has been very kind and caring of my almost 99 year old mother-in-law. She is clean, cared for, well fed, and socializing on a daily basis when she agrees to go into the more public areas outside her room. Although most of the rooms are triples, they usually have only two residents per room. The therapy staff is involved and compassionate and very patient. The Administrator is on site and closely involved in the everyday workings of this exemplary and CLEAN skilled nursing facility. This SNF even SMELLS clean!!

BEWARE The only thing that these guys care about is money. My family took my grandmother there for rehabilitation after surgery on her leg for a severe infection. She was there for less than 24 hours before she went back to the hospital. They didn't change her diaper. They didn't give her medications (she has afib, high blood pressure, and has suffered a stroke). They told us that she didn't want visitors. We showed up anyways and went to see her (past the objections of the staff) and found the horrible shape that she was in. We had to threaten them to get an ambulance there. I wasn't there when this went down, but if I was, I would have called 911 on my cell phone and got the police there as well. We complained to the State and they launched an investigation. The investigation confirmed our complaint and they had sanctions leveied at them. They had their Medicare license revoked among other things. If you take your loved one there, don't expect to see them alive again.

this is just the tip of the iceberg: I placed my uncle here in June 2015 after his 2nd amputation, I have been overseeing my uncle for the past 3 years while traveling over and hour to his home to take him an additional 30 mins to his dr. appts. without any problems, never a disagreement of any sort. Within the first month, he is being told things against me accusing me of stealing his money. never any thing of the sort before, no one in my life believes the lies because of my integrity and love shown. However, Jeenha from mariposa called the police and had my uncle file a complaint and report against me. Unfounded! She then called me and told me my uncle does not want any visitors. Because of my upset and hurt I stayed away for 2 months. During those months they have been overdosing him, he feels like he was doped, he also says he was feeling like his face was lumped up as if he had been beat up, when asked to see himself, or for a mirror ... no one had one, they wouldn't let him see himself. He told me he thinks they tried to keep me away so I could not see him and what was being done. This friday i went to the atm for him and gave the debit card to jeenha since her possession over $800 has come up missing from his account and now no one knows where the debit card is.... Well I know this.... the atm cameras will tell me who has the cards and cash.... DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVE ONE TO THIS SHADY SHIESTY FACILITY!! THEY'LL TAKE ALL THEY CAN INCLUDING THEIR LIVES!!

I have been here approximately a month now waiting for my incision to heal. I wake up with blood all over me where they want the incisions to seep clean. When I call for someone to clean me up the nurse will come and yell that they don't have time to clean me up they're are passing out meds. If I ask to get up to clean myself the nurse becomes belligerent to me saying I am not allowed out of bed.

If your even thinking about putting someone you care about at la mariposa, please, please don’t do it. Take your time and find someplace else, among other things they steal anything of value from their clients.

Compared to other facilities, La Mariposa is underrated. From my experience in the therapy room, the staff are essentially helpful and friendly.
