Doctor seemed nice for orthopedics, but the facility charges are outrageous here. Almost triple the price to see a doctor in this building than in clinics elsewhere. My insurance didn't pay most of the "facility fees", so I'm stuck paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a one hour doctor's appointment. I cancelled my second appointment and found a great surgeon elsewhere where they don't gouge you for "facility fees".

Horrible experience. No Compassion. No MRI appointments available unless you want to wait 3 - 6 months or take midnight or 3 am appointments, dosent matter if you may have cancer. I took midnight appointment and because scheduler told me to show up at 11:45 pm on the wrong day since it was a midnight appointment it should of been the day before, so my appointment was canceled , I was told "This happens all the time" I have surgery in 5 days no MRI . They didn't care. And to think I used to donate to this organization. Yikes. I wish everyone better luck then me

I had a terrible experience with my Hmo at sharp hospital so I decided to spend a thousand bucks a month for a ppo so I could go anywhere. I chose a hospital in orange county whom I love from front desk to drs to nurses. The whole staff are friendly and I have never felt annoyed, depressed or saddned by their behavior to me. Not so with Ucsd. I live in San Diego so I asked for a referral to ucsd for physical therapy. The therapist is excellent but there is a gentleman receptionist giving out incorrect advice that contradicted my drs recommendation to see their occupational therapist in Irvine since my cording was worsening. The receptionist stated my insurance would not cover both places. I was glad for the advice so I could verify. Luckily mine did. He stated continuity of care was another reason I should not see the therapist out of ucsd. The therapist at ucsd explained I could see anyone if she's booked. The front office then scheduled me with a different therapist which I don't have a problem with. It was comical because he jumped in when I asked about the continuity of care statement. He said oh yes it's me I said that and I meant for hospitals. (Financially motivated suggestions anyone) Anyway my other therapist in Irvine stated it was best to see the same person if possible so we knew what was done each visit and progressed forward. Lastly they continue to try and collect my copay when I have another secondary insurance they are contracted with. Orange county hospital explained that they must accept it. They continues to try and charge me and i have to remind them i have a secondary each time. They know. I feel bad for people without a voice they are paying unnecessarily because they don't know better . All in all its an OK faculty with good technicians but after being iat a smaller hospital I've been spoiled by the small hospital feel with employees that obviously love their jobs.... or hide it really well. When you are sick the people you interact with make a huge difference.

I had a surgery performed by Dr. Julie Le. Nurse Karlie helped out to prep for surgery. All people here are amazing. Recommend 100/10. Also received a cute card from UCSD health after surgery. So proud to be a part of UCSD as a student and patient.

Everyone in all buildings are the best at what they do. I rate them all, 10000000's, of stars for helping me continue to be able to have a life worth living. I've been going to most buildings for approximately 25 yrs. Wouldn't go anywhere else !!!. Love UCSD, Past, Present & Future. Thanks to all.

Very poor access to wide bore MRI equipment. Crazy Stat scheduling took an entire day of frenetic calls every 1-2 hours and all I came up with was option for 1am, 2am. 3am in morning. I lost my spot in the UCLA Study for Stress and Resiliency Study at my alma mater, major department as a result of this lack of care access. UCSD, are you listening? No.

If I can give zero stars I would. I was given a appt on a for Saturday mid day. Check in before my appointment and waited for over 1 hr and was not seen. There’s no reason I should be given an appointment just to wait over 1 hr ans not be seen!
