1. Getting established as a new patient is archaic. I had to fill out the same info on several forms. Get with the times and use software that knows my DOB after I fill it out once. 2. They charged me $130 for a routine visit that is covered by my insurance and has no deductible or copay. They said it was because I wasn’t established with them yet. Maybe that’s normal? I don’t know, but I’ve never had that in the past before moving to AL. ***Update*** When they billed my insurance it was coded like a sick visit and had a diagnosis on there for something I mentioned in passing like you would do on any preventive care visit. There was no testing done or recommended that falls outside of routine preventive care. When I tried to get them to change it they refused and said it was because Dr Hollis told them not to. I was able to successfully dispute the charge through the bank and got my money back that way. ***End update*** 3. They referred me to a surgery center without telling me or the surgery center what the referral was for. 4. They gave me the boot (see letter from them) because I was dissatisfied. Who would be satisfied for being charged $130 for something that should be $0? I wasn’t planning on going back anyway, but taking the time to write a letter let me know they don’t want me back and having three staff members sign it is kinda crazy. Pretty sure I don’t want that kind of carelessness taking care of me. 5. There was no effort on their part, other than a receptionist, to explain any referrals sent out on my behalf. 6. They don’t have a simple online portal where I can access all of my health records, unless they add them manually. They did that for me, but the specific labs I was looking for were missed by the person that added them. I’ve never met Dr. Hollis, I was seen by a PA, but he felt the need to direct his staff to be uncooperative with me every step of the way after this visit took place.

Dr. Hollis is the absolute best around. I would not trust anyone else with the care of my family. When walking in the doors I always feel welcome and know without a doubt I will get the best care possible. As a first time mom and the worries of a sick child Dr. Hollis always reassures me that my child is going to be fine. My son loves him and all of the staff there. Not only do we love Dr. Hollis & Staff but we think of them as family. 10/10 recommend.

We are fairly new to the area and wanted to support our community by using this clinic. The front office staff is very kind and welcoming. Arrogance and poor treatment doesn't even begin to describe the practitioners. My health issues were completely dismissed. My son had wrong medication dosages called to a pharmacy and we were told it was our responsibility to know the correct dosage when calling in for a refill. They should look at your medical chart before calling in medications! I was prescribed a double dosage of a medication when I had already reported the current dosage was too high. I was refused an MRI for a brain cyst I've had for 15 years. My neurosurgeon told me to have my primary care doctor order an MRI annually to ensure it isn't growing. They refused because "Dr. Hollis has never heard of one ever having to be removed". My other son saw him one time and Dr. Hollis treated him so rudely that the nurse came in and apologized for his behavior. As far as treatment, my family and I will never go back. There are too many doctors in Florence I'm sure would be happy to treat us. I've never been so disappointed in a physician and nurse practitioner. 2022 update: Just wanted to add…had they ordered the MRI I requested, my cancer would have been caught a LOT sooner! This goes back to my reference of arrogance. LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS!!

This is the office I chose to use for my children when I lived in the area. I continued to use them even after we moved until they had a billing issue which resulted in me having to find a new dr for my child. They claimed I had a bill go to collections and they refused to see my son until it was paid. Mind you the bill was nearly a year old and we had been since then and not told about any balance. I also had not received anything in the mail and they in fact had not updated my address or anything even though I filled out the paperwork to update things when we moved because our insurance also changed then as well. Well, turned out the bill had infact not gone to "collections" (which is their term for just the lady who does billing I suppose) because if it had gone to collections then why couldn't they schedule me if the bill was no longer with them or their concern? In the three days it took for someone to call me and tell me that it actually hadnt went to collections- I don't think they even knew what they were talking about- I had already found another Dr for my child because he was sick and needed to be seen. I paid the bill on the phone that day and will not be back or recommend them to anyone else. The ladies who I spoke to on the phone were rude and hateful about the entire situation and instead of just allowing me to schedule an appt for my son who was badly sick and just pay the bill they gave me the run around for days for a bill that had actually not been sold to a debt collector. In fact I don't think I should have even had a bill to pay but it wasn't worth arguing with them. They also never mailed me a receipt or proof of the bill? It probably went into one of their personal accounts for all I know.

My blood pressure meds were close to being out so I scheduled an appt. The best late appt. was 6 days out.Took off work and showed up for them to tell me you can't come in the afternoon hours, those hours are for covid patients. Welp had to reschedule for 2 weeks later. Welp i showed up at 8:15 and she said we've been trying to call you. The Dr. has covid so it'll be 2 weeks to reschedule. I've Been sick of this place for a while. The sealed the deal today!

The front staff is very unhelpful and terse. They don’t even look you in the eye when talking to you. The doctor is also abrupt and unwilling to refer you for the care that you need. If your healthcare needs go beyond an occasional visit for a cough or something, I would think twice about going to this practice.

Dr Hollis and staff are always quick and helpful. I've been told Dr Hollis is one of the smartest doctors in the state. He DOES believe in personal responsibility and accountability.

Without question, the best and most thorough, thoughtful, and professional medical care that I have ever received. Each and every person in the clinic-from clerical to the doctors, nurse practioners, nurses, and lab personnel strive to make your visit as pleasant as possible; and they succeed.
