Kamish

The only thing the staff and especially the providers want is to go home. The desk workers for whatever reason choose not to answer the phone, and if by some chance they do answer, they will put you on hold indefinitely, wasting your time. I made an appointment at kamish clinic 2 weeks in advance to see a provider to inquire about lower back and chest pain problems I've been having. On the day of my appointment, as I am walking into kamish, I am contacted by one of the medics and was told my provider could not see me because she had to go to a "meeting". I was dismissed with no good answer and no consideration for a timely rescheduling for the pain I've now been experiencing for 2 weeks, nor even an apology. The next day, I was contacted by one of the staff members at kamish, I was informed that the next nearest date a provider can see me would be one month out. I had to wait a whole month until I could even address the problems that my chain of command asked me to do. Big surprise: I did not go. This is not the first time I was untimely dismissed by this clinic and the same has probably happened to many other soldiers of Fort Wainwright, but won't speak up. I encourage that the providers in kamish receive equal opportunity training on meeting their patients' appointments. The treatment I received was not acceptable and considering the mission that we all have as soldiers, failure to provide them with proper care can result in life-long misfortunes, or possibly career-ending tragedies.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Everyone at this klinic has an attitude of entitlement. Med pros goes down for a week you need help on timely manners guess what this klinic is going to do for you? Nothing! "Keep trying" is what they will tell you.

Better hope you don't miss a phone call from any providers from here. Unless you go in they will not answer the phone.
