My 5 year old participated in the picky eaters “Food Detectives” clinic and it was such a great experience! I am more confident now as to how to help him continue exploring new foods and he isn’t as defiant/scared when presented with an unfamiliar food anymore! I loved getting to know Christiana and Sarah and see their passion and dedication prove beneficial for my family. Thank you!

My almost 4 year old enrolled in the picky eater class, and the outcome was amazing. I was on the fence because of the investment of not only time, but money and not confident it would do anything at all. But I would do it all over again!! Within the first few weeks my daughter was already trying new foods. She was actually asking US if she could try things. We found new snacks she likes and she found new friends (so did I) I think it’s important to note doing something like this among her peers vs with parents hovering over her anticipating her trying new things was the main thing. Her OTs were so sweet and knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable her going to this class with me waiting in the waiting room of the lobby. Only thing I’d advise someone about is because this is at an occupational therapist office, there are special needs kids coming and going. Every time I arrived, the kids would rush to me and grab/touch me and try touching my baby and it made me so uncomfortable. For some reason the care takers or parents wouldn’t stop it from happening. If this would also make you uncomfortable the trick is, to park at the door & wait until the waiting room lobby is empty, then walk inside for the class :)

My daughter took the Food Detectives class and had such a fun time at every session. She looked forward to each class, and the activities and lessons were so well thought out. She was always excited to share with me what she did. She also made new friends and became more open to trying new foods—she no longer fights me when it’s time to taste something new!

Kaleidoscope is an amazing company. Sarah, one of the OTs, is very passionate and knowledgeable about occupational therapy. She works hard with our child to achieve her OT goals. Sarah is very thorough: she will explain why she engages in certain activities, that help with our child's brain development and body awareness. She also gives you suggestions on how to generalize and embed OT goals into the family structure. I highly recommend this company, especially if your child is on a wait list for OT services!!!

Sarah was great to work with! She worked with my son for almost one year to achieve specific goals that were a product of Christiana’s thorough assessment. During that year, my son developed skills that boosted his confidence, athletic ability, and emotional regulation. Sarah is kind, patient, and works hard to establish a connection that enables cooperation. She provides great examples of exercises and activities to work on at home to extend the learning from a session. My son absolutely loved OT with Sarah!

Our middle child was having a hard time focusing at school and keeping up with his peers. A friend suggested exploring OT as a resource for our child. Christiana and Kaleidoscope Occupational Therapy did an evaluation with him and gave us some really great insight and direction for helping him overcome some obstacles that we didn’t even know he had. They were great with him and made it seem more like a game than therapy or an evaluation and their expertise in retained reflexes helped start us on a path towards getting our son the help he needs. They honestly care about their clients. Highly recommend them to anyone seeking family focused Occupational Therapy.
