At first I didn't want come as it was a far drive frm home but it was the BEST decision I made. The staff was greatly compassionate knowledgeable attentive fun sense of humor clean kept rooms. Rehab therapists (OT PT ST art therapy) are the toppest notch in being knowledgeable kindness patience in guiding patients to recovery!!! [ would say if ever you need therapy frm stroke or accident go to Kaiser! the stay is awesome as well as getting patients to recover!

I spent 12 days here recovering from breaking one or more of every type of bone in my torso and nerve damage in left hand and broken right hand. I did 3+ hours of OT and PT daily. the therapists were amazing across the board and focused on everything needed so that I could be as independent as possible when I went home. my room and bed were kept immaculately clean, there's a lovely outdoor court patients can enjoy, a common area, and a bright and open gym. and the food was actually quite decent. I genuinely enjoyed my meals. I feel incredibly fortunate to have qualified for the acute rehab program at KFRC. thank you to all the staff but especially the nurses: Samantha, Aileen, Adrian, Elisa, Julienne, Ike, Frank, Kris, Misha, and Colette... the therapists: Olivia, Salwa, Nicole, Alberto, Carly and doctors Tai and Bain all of these amazing people made me feel worthy, motivated, and human.

We have an adult family member who had a major stoke with paralysis on the left side, was unable to swallow or speak, and was at a different Kaiser hospital about 60 miles away. We were told that our family member would be eligible for rehabilitation care at Kaiser's Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo so we decided to have our family member transported there. What Kaiser didn't tell us was the maximum stay for patients there was only for two weeks or that minimal rehabilitation was offered that did not really benefit patients who were dealing with major debilitating effects from strokes or accidents. The nursing staff at the Rehabilitation Center generally provided good care. Most therapy sessions were less than half an hour with therapists often rushing to see their next patient whom had to be transported from the other side of the hospital. Our family member did not really benefit from the limited rehabilitation that was offered by the therapists during their short stay and was sent home by Kaiser with medical issues that were not fully addressed. If you have had a major stroke or accident and need more extensive physical, occupational and speech therapy, then think twice about going to Kaiser's Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo!

This center is the most amazing recovery center I’ve ever seen. And I’m not talking only about the facilities but also the staff. I spent 3.5 weeks there and had a wonderful PT team, not only very competent professionals but amazing human beings. I’m going to miss them all!

The program at Vallejo was comprehensive with a no nonsense approach to rehabilitation. The staff was both professional and experienced and always gave positive support regarding my progress and rehabilitation. I am now walking and basically living independently. At this point I am working out to enhance and improve my fitness.

Spent a decent amount of time here through the holidays as my dad was a patient after having a very bad fall. Overall, I was happy with all of the staff! Special thanks to DPT Khoa Vu and RN's Adrian and Luis who were awesome and extremely responsive.

My husband was at the rehabilitation center for 7 days. We are very grateful for all that it takes to run this facility. My husband suffered from a stroke and would definitely recommend this center. We were blessed to have such an awesome team of therapists , nurses and doctors . Thank you all for taking care of my husband . My whole family was satisfied with the care as well .

I am giving a review based on visiting my uncle in the rehab center. Great new facility. Great teaching rehab center. Great students that care there. Immaculately clean room. Great clean place to work or volunteer. Parking was fine. This dropped the stars... Nurses are hit and miss. It took more than 15 minutes for the nurse to answer a room light. Patient communicated that he needed to go to the bathroom. Seriously, they only press the button if they need help right away. After asking for an extension because the family saw improvement and thought the patient would benefit from just one more week since they felt 3 week is not enough, the management had a meeting and decided to shorten the patient's stay the dispatch him to a nursing therapy facility the next day. What? Why would you do that? Are we not allowed to ask to stay so the patient can stay longer to improve more? Isn't that what the rehab is for? I feel like the nurses think they are Gods and determine who they can save and when to dump a patient. I also feel like the nurses are trying to kick you out early if they feel that the stroke patient is not improving enough in their opinion so they can offer the beds to people on their waiting list, so be careful. They have to maintain their prestigious rating. So unacceptable. It stresses out the patient and family.
