On August 29, 2024, at 4:30 PM, I had a scheduled appointment for an MRI of my left knee due to an injury sustained on June 16, 2024. Upon arrival, I was informed of an additional 30-minute wait due to delays, which I accepted without issue. After being directed by the MRI technician, Jessica, to change into appropriate attire, I waited an additional 5-10 minutes before being informed that an Orbital X-Ray was required due to my having worked around metal. I was frustrated by the lack of communication regarding this requirement. I had just undergone surgery on my right knee the previous day and was already in significant discomfort. The technician waited until after I had undressed to communicate this new requirement, leading to unnecessary delays and confusion. I had recently undergone an MRI for my right knee, and the need for an eye X-Ray seemed unwarranted, especially given that I had not undergone any eye procedures. This situation was exacerbated by the staff's failure to review the paperwork I had submitted over a month ago, which already indicated the relevant information. The lack of proactive communication, whether through email or phone, contributed to a disappointing experience. Despite this poor experience, I want to acknowledge the positive aspects of my interactions with JBJ. Most of the staff demonstrated a strong commitment to assisting with my recovery. Dr. Garcia, and Hannah in particular, provided exceptional care throughout my treatment process. He efficiently scheduled an MRI for my right knee, facilitated timely surgery, and offered clear, knowledgeable guidance. His communication and professionalism were exemplary, and I highly recommend him for his outstanding service.

I was referred to Juneau Bone & Joint Center to address carpel tunnel in both hands, and saw Dr Garcia. My wife previously was a patient of Dr. Garcia and had a good experience, so I was pleased to get an appointment with him. He assessed the situation in my right hand, confirmed I needed surgery, and 1-1/2 later I had my surgery at Bartlett with Dr. Garcia - that was three weeks ago. I’m pleased with the results after years of suffering numb finger issues, and am now going to return to him and address my left hand. I was pleased with his direct no-nonsense approach, thorough review, responses to questions, and follow through on the recovery. I also had positive experiences with the reception and surgery scheduling staff.

I am a new patient here at Juneau Bone and Joint and my experience so far has been very pleasant and professional. The administrative staff is friendly and welcoming. The MRI tech and Xray tech were very helpful and made sure I understood the process and kept me informed throughout the process.

Funny how you only Comment on the positive reviews and not the negative ones...not funny HAHA, just funny. I had 2 different doctors there have 2 very different opinions on an MRI, which yes, was $600 more than insurance covers as someone stated. So I took my records and went out of state for service. MANY more are going to continue doing that until you join In-Network. Stop holding out for more money. You already gouge us deeply.

My experience with JBJC has been nothing but professional and great patient care from check-in to check-out. I have seen Dr. Bursell and most recently Dr. Hightower and can’t say enough great things. Very thorough and explained everything in detail. The MRI tech was also very safety conscious and very pleasant!

I've had three physical therapists there and all of them have been cheerful, encouraging, helpful and creative. They have all been very knowledgeable and willing to adjust what we were doing based on how I was doing on the day. When I wasn't up to doing much, they helped me not be discouraged and helped me keep moving. The exercises they gave me to do at home all had illustrations and were something that didn't take a lot of set up or equipment, but definitely got the job done. I still refer back to them as needed. I honestly can't say enough about how positive each experience has been!
