My daughter received speech therapy from JLD for just over 3 years and it was bittersweet when she graduated. Ms. Ping is the most kind and patient SLP I've ever worked with, personally and in my profession, and she took the time to get to know my daughter and her interests. Even the front desk staff were always kind and helpful.

This review is for our feeding therapist, Jennifer Lewis. We were first recommended by my son's pediatrician at PAMF to look into Joy and Laughter Developmental Therapy in San Jose when our in network options were not available until 4-6 months out from the time we needed these services. I can say now, after 4 months of taking my 18 month old to Jennifer, I would pay out of pocket all over again to have him receive the care and expertise we have from her. We came here at a time when my son refused to eat any solids at 14 months old. Every attempt to feed him was extremely challenging. This is our third child so we thought we had things down pretty well, but he didn't follow the "normal" milestones when it came to eating. Numerous allergies added to our equation. Jennifer gave me a sense of relief and the confidence to know that my son was going to learn and be able to eat one day. She has so many creative ways to help these little kiddos become interested in food and eventually want to eat. Jennifer is so kind and patient and her compassion is palpable. I've seen my son go from barely eating a bite of food to now consuming full meals. And ENJOYING it. Jennifer has become part of our family's story. We are forever grateful for everything she has taught us these last couple of months and the care she has shown my son and our family. Thank you so much : )

I highly recommend Jennifer Lewis and Joy & Laughter Developmental Therapy! We took our our 2 month-old daughter to see Jennifer after many weeks of difficulty with breastfeeding and low milk transfer. Jennifer knew right away what to do and gave us exercises to work on. After just a few weeks, our daughter improved so much and it really transformed our breastfeeding journey. We are so grateful to Jennifer and JLD for their support!

My son has been receiving both speech and occupational therapy since he turned 2 years old, he is now 5 years old. We absolutely LOVE Ms. Elise, who provides OT for my son. I love her gently approach with my son. She is very knowledgeable and shares feedback after every session. I appreciate her recommendations of how we can help my son both at school and at home. Since starting therapy with her a few months back with Ms. Elise I have witnessed how much my son has improved his skills.

I have been coming to Joy and Laughter Development Therapy with my son (7) for about 6 months now for Occupational Therapy. We have seen tremendous growth and improvement in him while our time here. Kavita is a wonderful therapist and goes above and beyond for my son. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and kind. You can tell all of the therapist are passionate about the kids and enjoy what they do. I highly recommend this place! Its been an overall amazing experience.

I saw Jennifer Lewis for infant feeding occupational therapy and she was a shining light during a difficult time. I tried everything to figure out why my 2 month old couldn’t eat more than 2-3oz at a time. Walked into Jennifer’s office and she instantly could tell what was going on. She is so knowledgeable and was so sweet with my baby. After one appointment and doing at home exercises with my daughter (which she loved by the way) there was already improvement. After her second appointment she was pretty much eating normally. I am so grateful to have found Jennifer and have relief knowing I have such a fantastic resource to reach out to should any other issues come up. From the front desk staff, to working with Jennifer and the other friendly staff members there, I can’t recommend this place enough.

My daughter has been going to JLD for 3 years now for speech therapy. We have seen multiple different therapist during our time here. We have had nothing but a pleasant experience. Ms. Ping is my daughter’s therapist and I am so impressed with her. She makes my daughter feel comfortable and safe. She is thorough with her treatment and you can tell her truly cares about her patients. I would highly recommend JLD to anyone!

My 6 months old baby had bottle aversion and remained 1 percentile since birth, and finally my pediatrician suggested to see feeding therapy. Never heard of this specialist! Since our in-network feeding therapy had a few months waitlist and that’s way too long for my baby, my pediatrician referred us to see Joy & Laughter. Yet I was told it’s a long waitlist to see Jennifer, the feeding therapy, as well. However, once Jennifer knew my baby’s infant and she accepted our case immediately! Jennifer carefully observed my baby eating habit, how she drank, etc, and then she offered different suggestions and strategies to encourage my baby to chew more and chew better in every sessions. My baby gradually ate more since then and finally she caught up and learned how to chew more efficiently. Also, Jennifer’s a great listener, very supportive and encouraging. It’s mentally challenging when your baby had eating aversion and difficulty to thrives. I’m glad we had Jennifer to help!
