My whole appointment went very quickly. I got X-rays, saw the resident, and Dr. Ortega. I was out within a hour. They were very thorough and very kind. I would definitely record Andrew Sports Medicine!

Dr. Ortega and the fellow who is training under him (Dr. Taylor MacDonald) were very pleasant and interested in identifying the source of my leg pain and putting together a plan to treat it. They spent plenty of time examining my leg, looking at the imaging, and answering all of my questions. His office staff was very friendly and helpful too. Dr. Ortega has seen several family members of mine and they have been well pleased by the care he has provided too. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Ortega if you have a musculoskeletal injury.

I was overall happy with most of my experience. The one thing that I was dissatisfied about is the fact that Dr Ortega said he would be back to give me my treatment and I’m billed under his name, but I fellow did it. I asked the fellow was the doctor not coming in and he said no that he had done plenty of these. Mind you had a been scheduled for the fellow I would’ve been completely satisfied, but if I’m gonna be billed under the surgeon, Dr. Ortega I would’ve liked for him to have done my treatment and it was not an option. I was pleased with the facility and the staff and the whole new patient process.

This office is one of the most efficient and thorough places I have visited. Dr. Ortega listened to my concerns gave instructions on what to do.

Great experience! Dr. Ortega is very knowledgeable & my son is almost back to 100% after a hamstring injury. In addition, his staff are polite & easy to work with. Would highly recommend!

I moved away from Birmingham a couple of years ago and still drive four hours for appointments. I won’t go anywhere else for my orthopedic needs. I’ve always been extremely pleased with the level of service I get from my doctors at Andrews. I’m a patient of Drs. Cain, Emblom and Ortega.

Dr. Ortega is a wonderful MD and is very thorough and compassionate. I would recommend him to any of my family and friends. He takes time to explain your diagnosis and anatomy.

Super friendly and professional staff. We had a lot of appointments to navigate. Dr. Ortega's staff was quick and efficient (couldn't say the same for the MRI intake process, but...)
