Joe is the best physical therapist I've ever worked with, and I've worked with many. He takes the time to assess and understand how my body functions holistically, he explains things clearly, he uses dry needling and soft tissue work effectively to relieve pain, and works collaboratively with me to adjust exercises so they work for me. He has helped me make tremendous progress in addressing shoulder and back issues that have limited my movement for years. I highly recommend Joe!

This is my first experience with a PT practice during my years of marathon training. And it’s hard to imagine another training cycle without it. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and for my purposes, understands runners deeply. Luke, one of the therapists, has become a trusted guide during my training cycle. Already discussing future races and how to best achieve my goals and take care of my body. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I’m so glad I found Joe & team! Love that you get a full 60 minutes 1:1, and always feel like my concerns are taken seriously. Joe successfully rehabbed my plantar fasciitis earlier this year with a combination of manual therapy + prescribed exercises. When I had an IT band flare-up, I was able to see Eric who was also excellent. Very thoughtful and comprehensive. Highly recommend this practice to runners & other athletes who are looking for a PT practice that just gets it. 100% worth the investment!

I'm just back from running a strong Berlin Marathon after a stress injury forced me to defer last year and its because of Luke at Joe Norton PT! As a runner in a larger body I have not had a good experience with previous PT groups who weighed me at the start and end of treatment and told me I needed to lose weight. That is not the case at this practice. I was treated as an athlete from the first visit and weight was never mentioned. Luke treated my injury and worked with me to build strength so I could continue my desire to be a life long runner. If you are an athlete in DC go to this practice to get you back on track for your goals and have fun while working hard. I'm not sure whats next for my running but know Luke will help me reach my goals.

I had been dealing with chronic patellar tendon issues related to distance running since high school and had seen several therapists with limited to no success. Things had gotten to the point where I wasn’t even able to go on short runs. I had Joe recommended to me by a family member and could not be happier with the treatment I’ve received. He’s formulated a treatment plan that has gradually built up in intensity, ensuring my leg gains strength while not pushing my pain threshold. I feel confident in my recovery and my knee in a way I haven’t felt for years. I’d absolutely recommend Joe to anyone who’s struggled to get over the hump with a similar issue or any physical therapy needs in general.

I love Kelly and this whole PT practice! I switched from Pivot PT and this place is 5,000x better. Kelly spends a full hour with me. My tennis elbow and severe neck & shoulder pain are so much better. I love that they don’t only show you exercises. She also does massage, gentle manipulation and dry needling. I highly recommend them.

The therapists at Joe Norton Physical Therapy are amazing! I truly can't say enough about how lucky I feel to have worked with them - first to address some pain in my hip and glute and then after I tore my ACL and had reconstructive knee surgery. They truly know their stuff and are wonderful to work with. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

I worked with Eric Liu at Joe Norton Physical Therapy for a diagnosed torn meniscus as confirmed by an MRI. My orthopedic surgeon wanted to try a course of physical therapy prior to considering surgery. Joe NOrton was my choice because I had had successful treatment there inthe past for wrist injury. I was not disappointed then and I am not disappointed now. Eric over the course of a month took my through a series of in office and at home exercises which got me back on the tennis court and playing without surgery..He listened and designed a treatment plan which worked.. You can't ask for mor than that.
