Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital - Inpatient Rehabilitation

My grown son lost his leg in an accident and was accepted for his occupational and physical therapy in this facility. I can't say enough good things about the staff, the equipment, the atmosphere. We live three and a half hours away and was not able to be there as much as we would have liked for my son but everyone there from the CNAs to the director of quality stepped in as his surrogate family doing more for him than their job description would ever involve because they wanted to not because they had to. The CNAs the nurses the nutrition dietary the housekeepers the case workers the directors all took part in his comfort and care, being compassionate, taking time to talk to him about his needs and his future his goals. I can honestly say he left that facility a better man than when he went in because of what they did for him, I want to personally thank Jodie Howell the Director of Quality, for her exceptional job she did for Alex, she worked so so hard for him and his needs and extremely difficult circumstances. Very few people today have the degree of compassion and caring she shows in her job everyday, I know this is a long review but if you want your family member in a place that will take care of them like you would, this is the place for them Dwayne Rhodes

I was in the psychiatric ward for three days I have seizures and several other medical conditions during my stay I witnessed a severely disabled patient being talked down to like they were garbage all they did was ask the worker a question they were yelled at and commanded to sit down every time I personally asked for something I was told "in a minute" every time I was asking for water. I was denied all my medication the first day until after 10:30 pm I take seizure and muscle spasm medication 3 times daily and depression and anxiety medication none which are opiates, narcotics, or anything that gets you "high" I was having seizures and spasms the entire first day with no help and I mean literally no help I had an outburst during my stay which caused conditions on my release I understood this even though I was not happy about it my wife called to confirm my release she was told " he hasn't been good he was laying on the ground refusing to get up" I was having a sever muscle spasm which locked up the entire left side of my body luckily the nurse was not responsible for my release this place should be shut down I don't understand how there are any good reviews here another incident on My way first day I was lying on my bed in the dark trying to recover from a seizure a nurse or tech or whatever came in to take my blood pressure did not knock and turned the lights on (very bright) which caused a bad focal seizure I screamed I have expletive seizures her response was without turning the lights off " I do to" mind you she was reading my blood pressure with a machine with lights my light was not needed she did not turn the lights back off till she was done this was the precursor to my outburst this was the worst experience of my life did not help my mental conditions in the slightest they made them worse please someone investigate this place so these patients can get actual help not drugs and babysat

Wonderful facility. Staff are caring kind and compassionate. Would recommend them for your healthcare needs.

This facility is a great asset to our community and the surrounding areas. Together we will make a difference in the lives of many.

These people fumbled the ball for my father. Did not do what we were told was going to happen. And never answer the phone or return calls.

I’m glad this facility is in this region. Very clean, and staff that support treatment.
