Dr. Chao is very personable and caring. He takes the time to listen and fully explain things. He did surgery on my finger and I am very pleased with the results. All of his office staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. I am very glad my primary physician referred me to him.

My wife had a surgery by Dr. James Chao in November 2022, and about a year later, she developed an infection in the surgical area. She then saw him in September 2023, and he determined that some additional surgical procedure was necessary to clean the area. Then, I was waiting to schedule the surgery. I called and Emailed several times since, but got no answer. I brought this matter to another doctor who worked with Dr. Chao during the initial surgery, and he sent a message to Dr. Chao and also had a phone conversation. We still did not get any response, and he finally directed her to see another reconstruction doctor. We lost almost 3 months, being stuck and not able to plan for any activities under such a condition. As a result, my wife experienced some personal hardship with her family member. Dr. Chao showed no respect to his patient and I felt this was unprofessional. This may be due to lack of communications between him and his medical staff, but Dr. Chao should be ultimately responsible for treating patients.

Dr. Chao and his entire team are wonderful. During my consultation, Dr. Chao was so thorough and explained everything to me in a way other doctors had not. I knew right then and there I would choose him for my surgery. His office staff have been so kind and helpful. I know I’m in the best hands for my upcoming procedure. Highly recommend this amazing doctor!

Very very happy with the experience and results of my surgery. My breast reduction recovery time was smooth, the office staff was professional and responsive, Dr.Chao is a skillful surgeon with a nice manner. I was well instructed in the recovery protocols.
