My experience with James Clarke far exceeded my expectations. I consulted him to improve my ability to power walk without pain. He is a Master of Diagnosis. He connected my symptoms to a variety of issues, each one addressed as part of the treatment plan. He got my attention with the statement: "You will tell me when you are better." Sure enough, it happened sooner than I expected. Both he and assistant/colleague Emily Bowles are top-notch. I do not expect to have to see them again. But I will never forget the quality and effectiveness of the services they provided, the welcoming environment of their workplace, and their commitment to health. They valued my time and used theirs to heal me. Difficult to imagine anyone better!!!

A fantastic physical therapy team! Highly recommend Jim and his wonderful staff. I came to Jim for help getting back to mobility and fitness after hip replacement surgery. Jim’s skill, the skill and efficiency of his staff and Jim’s own friendliness and excellent care got me back in the gym and feeling great quickly and with great confidence.

I can't say enough great things about James Clarke Physical Therapy.. When I first saw Jim, I was totally misdiagnosed and in a lot of pain. That pain had lasted 3.5 years. I thought I would never sit comfortably again or enjoy running. He viewed my issue as a problem to be solved and worked with me to brainstorm solutions. He looked at his involvement as one part of a plan to get me back to 100%. He wasn't looking to keep me a patient as long as possible, but rather to get me well. He did and I am so grateful. I've seen a lot of physical therapists, and he is head and shoulders above the rest.

I have visited the office for several months after a major shoulder surgery. I would not go anywhere else. The team is professional, friendly, and attentive to any need. They helped me get better faster. I definitely recommend this place. When my daughter needed help with her knee, I have sent her there as well.

Starting coming here in December 2019 for sciatic pain which they were doing a wonderful job helping treat. My pain worsened after a few weeks and my PCP had me see an Ortho whose nonchalance and lack of care about my very serious symptoms were infuriating to deal with. I was experiencing debilitating pain that was so terrible, it led me to take time from work. He wasn't interested in doing imaging past an xray (which clearly wouldnt show any disc issues) and suggest I continue PT although I had already been doing so for a month and my symptoms were going on 4 months at this point. I spoke to Jim about this situation and he gave me a list of 3 neurosurgeons he personally would use for surgery. Within a few minutes of speaking with the neursurgeon I chose, he looked at my images and diagnosed me with having a RUPTURED lumbar disc, which explains everything. I am now scheduled for a discectomy in a week and have never been so excited to go under the knife. If it was for James Clarke taking a proactive interest in figuring out the source of my pain and his guidance, this situation could have taken a much worse turn. Him and his staff are excellent and there is no other place I would recommend in this area for PT.

Honestly I did not feel like they were trying to treat my problem I was facing and telling me stretching was my focus and living a healthy life but it seemed they were making me more dependent on their services to be charged for and not hit the target of my pain. My exercises were nothing but going on the bike and arm bike which I understand for a warm up but when it is my only exercise it becomes suspicious of is improvement being made. I didn’t feel welcomed, that my concerns were not heard and an evaluation of my body wasn’t done to the best ability. Seeing another physical therapist now and I actually understand and know ways I can reduce my pain and learning at the same time. Not to bash him but did not feel I got the best personal treatment I deserved as a patient educated on the body and physical therapy as well but this is just from my experience.

I have known Jim Clarke for nearly 25 years. I went to him for PT following surgery on my fully-torn LEFT rotator cuff. While I was undergoing his patient healing ministrations, my RIGHT rotator cuff had a full tear. Another surgery. If it weren't for Jim, I would have been a "Bag of Bones." I FULLY recovered from both, and returned to work full-time, and for 2 decades enjoyed work, outdoor activities, and travelling around the world. At one point, my husband was also his patient. We went to Jim because only the best would do. A few years later, I went back to Jim for PT. This time for another unrelated injury. I was in a lot of pain, and had been out of work for 9 months. This time, it was my back, and I did not want surgery. Again, Jim's healing ministrations, specifically tailored PT routine, and I was able to return to work -- first part-time, then full-time. Now, 15 years later, in a freaky mishap, I tore both my biceps as well as rotator cuffs on BOTH sides (again). Back to Jim, because surgery is not a viable option under my current circumstances. I wanted a totally drug-free and noninvasive remedy. Jim's magical healing treatment is presently helping me strengthen my back muscles to compensate for the weakened arms and to become independent again. I owe to Jim my full recovery and restoration of the quality of life in the past, and I have full confidence that this time as well I will continue to make steady progress, and once again restore full use of my limbs to regain some semblance of normalcy in my life. Jim is a deeply caring professional who puts his patients' wellbeing first. He is empathetic yet will not hold back if, in his professional judgement, the patient's preferences may not be in their best interest. He is a straightforward chap. With him, what you see is what you get. Absolutely, no nonsense! You get nothing but the best and individually tailored treatment from Jim to help you put back on the road to recovery. His Office Manager, Trish, whom I have known just as long is highly professional. With her extensive experience, she would work with your Insurance Company to make sure that you get the best treatment, get it as long as necessary, and are assured maximum allowable benefit covered by your Plan. I wholeheartedly recommend James R. Clarke PT. My husband and I have been fortunate to have found in Jim, the best Physical Therapist and one of the finest friends.
