The Dr. Is great but the nursing staff is absolutely slow. The Dr. Came in spoke with us told us the plan of action we waited over an HR for the RN to give a shot and discharge paperwork. Absolutely ridiculous!

I had a lot of pain on my side, I went here because of it as I had went unconscious from it at work. I got here and the nurse told me I had to wait on the doctor to wake up from his nap (I wish I was joking but I am not) after I got scanned. I waited 6 hours before anyone came back to me. Finally the doctor came in after his nap around 4 in the morning and was actually concerned because I had a 6ml kidney stone that needed further inspection. I had already passed it, just right before he came in to tell me I needed to go to Mobile to potentially get it crushed if it didn’t pass. I would have thought I would be given something to atleast stop the throwing up, but I wasn’t. I felt like I was bothering the staff for simply being there. I wouldn’t have went if I wasn’t hurting because I don’t have the money to spend on emergency situations.

I’ve had multiple family members sent home with no help or misdiagnosed. To name a few: one was sent home bleeding internally (and almost died, might I add), another had pneumonia pretty bad and was sent home just for it to get worse (ended up in ICU in Mobile), another was told they had COPD (not the case; something much worse), and lastly my own child was misdiagnosed with staph (turned out to be what I initially thought it was; nothing life threatening thank God). These are just MY experiences. Most of the staff is pretty friendly and good to people, but I can’t say the same about all of the doctors. I understand hospitals have to see patients to make money, but you don’t put the quantity of patients you see over the quality of care you give.

The staff here are very rude. They talk to you like your a child and the Dr that wears the same sweater day in and day out doesn't even listen to understand he listens to answer. He said my blood work was off and wouldn't tell me anything else...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN ALL AREAS. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOUR PRACTICING!! Not once but twice i was giving something I was allergic too!!! Blood pressure was 209/103 from pain.. couldn't even pain medication

I went to the Jackson Urgent Care over 1 1/2 years ago to get a shot to clear up a head cold. The nurse practitioner wanted to send me to the hospital to be tested for the flu. I told her I didnt have the flu and she then told me that she couldn't treat me. So I left and drove an hour to see my doctor who treated me and I was better within days. Now a year and half later I get a bill from them for an office visit. I called the urgent care center and explained what happened and her response was if I didnt pay it she was turning me over to collections. I tried to call the hospital administrator for over a week now and left messages for her to call me back but no response. I dont think I should have to pay the bill when the nurse practitioner point blank told me she couldn't treat me. But anyway it's not about the money but more of the principle. I will not be going back or referring anyone to either locating.

This facility doesn’t even deserve a one. I was left bleeding in a hallway. I came in the ER bleeding heavily from the nose and mouth— At that time I didn’t know two blood vessels have ruptured inside my sinuses… And they didn’t either— they didn’t check my vitals, they didn’t even try to see what was wrong with me!! they just told me to go to the office and fill out some paperwork… I’m bleeding!!! Heavily from the nose and mouth — and they wanted me to fill out paperwork— they didn’t take any vital signs and didn’t show any concern about what was going on with me. I called my son— He came and took me to another hospital immediately— that hospital realized it was something terribly wrong and I was Air flighted to Mobile. My BP was 269/133 and I bleed for one hour and a half before I got help... I hate to Imagine what would have happened if I had stayed there bleeding in the hall.

My fiancé was instructed to call the hospital in case of emergency due to the antibiotic their Dr had prescribed for him. Whoever answered the phone transferred him to the er so he could speak to a nurse about his symptoms. The nurse who answered in the er told him with a condescending tone that she didn't know why he had been transferred to her and that if he thought that he should go to the er then he should. If she had taken time to get him some help or ask him a few questions she would have found out that he was more than 8 hours away and had severe abdominal pain. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of care. Whatever happened to, "Do no harm" nurse?

Jackson Medical Center is a horrible place to go to. I would not recommend anyone to go there. It seems to be a buddy system as well they only see the ones they know and their kind of you know what I mean (gentiles). I sat in the parking lot for an hour and was then told I was putting a nurse life in danger just because I went to the door to ask a question. Pitiful and horrible hospital to go to. By pass Jackson medical center and go to Grove Hill or Thomasville where you know you will get your service and results on time.
