This well managed PT facility is a gem, soup to nuts. Jessica manages the front desk. She is more than competent and a pleasure to work with. Scheduling, insurance and any other issues are never a bother for her. She is a consummate professional. John and Gabrielle are the physical therapists and have a great way about them. They listen, they respond and they produce reasonable and comprehensive plans for rehabilitation. They are attentive and kind. Even the Interns are excellent. What a nice group of people! I am happy I found them.

IvyRehab Southport has been excellent in all respects in helping me recover from a complicated injury and knee surgery. The Therapists themselves. Gabby and John, are professional, and have deep expertise I could always count on. They were very kind and patient with my challenges of learning to walk again. Also, they were fun and personable which made for an enhanced experience. I plan on continuing my recovery at IvyRehab with a secondary referral from my Primary Care physician to strengthen my bones and build muscle mass lost in this process. I am a 20 year Yoga teacher so my standards for these fellow professionals was quite high. The support staff was wonderful too. Highly recommended.

I came to Ivy Rehab in Southport after a friend's recommendation following my ACL tear. Since I would need extensive physical therapy post-surgery, I was planning to visit a few clinics to find the best fit. However, after meeting Gabi, one of the therapists, I knew my search was over. The atmosphere and the staff at Ivy Rehab have been fantastic, and I've felt comfortable and confident in my recovery throughout the past three weeks of almost daily visits.

Ivy Rehab helped me heal on so many levels. Most importantly, I was given the confidence to want to continue to heal. John is an exceptional physical therapist. He is well versed in physiology, and makes you feel comfortable, is patient, thorough, and educates you during your session. John gives excellent individualized attention to his clients, and motivates them with the belief you have it in your power to heal. Choice staff as well, all focused on the comfort and needs of the client. As a stage 4 breast cancer survivor, physical therapy was essential. I lost my ability to walk in January. I’m now up to 10 minutes on the exercise bike. Ivy Rehab helped me achieve this!!!

Having John as my Physical Therapist at Ivy Rehab has been a great experience. John went above and beyond to provide the best therapy to help me heal. His individual attention, time, exercises, caring, and different modalities has made all the difference. Jessica has been so helpful supporting my appointments and questions. I am so impressed with my overall experience and highly recommend John and Ivy Rehab.

Honestly, I had accepted the pain and restricted movement in my right shoulder over the months, until finally I could not lift my arm above my head. I am an artist, working to sell gifts based on the drawings I make. My easel is upright and the drawings take about 20 hours to complete. I was in constant pain while drawing, so I decided to get help for my 'frozen shoulder.' I was nervous to start physical therapy, worried that I was going to injure myself further. But Dr. John Carr was reassuring and knowledgable. He shared that one of the reasons he became a physical therapist was the excellent treatment he received as a young competitive swimmer for - guess what - a shoulder injury! I highly recommend working with Dr. Carr at Ivy Rehab. He designed exercises that were just enough of a stretch to help me loosen my shoulder. With patience, and doing my home exercises, I've regained a comfort and a freedom of movement I had nearly given up on. Thank you, Dr. Carr (and to Jess for great office support!) (Photo is of Dr. John Carr and me with my most recent drawing 'Independence Bouquet.')

Joe is fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to understand and adjust treatment plans specifically to your needs. He was consistently encouraging throughout my course of treatment and I’ve noticed an increase in strength and endurance! I can’t thank him enough for all the hard work he put in.

Excellent in every way. Joe is trained in all aspects of rehabilitation. I went to Joe with pain in my Achilles. He quickly diagnosed that the pain was the result of a previous calf injury. His services, including needling, have been extraordinary in healing my injury and building lower body strength in my glutes, hips and calves. Highly recommend Joe for any PT needs.
